On Saturday I posted about Boomer, he’s trying to get in the Guinness World Book of records for being the world’s largest dog. It seems like Boomer has some competition, meet George.
He’s a gigantic Great Dane who at the age of 4 has grown be 42″ tall and weighs in at 245 lbs. Owner Dave Nasser came forward after hearing about Boomer, not wanting to miss out on his chance of getting in the record book.

Wow, Boomer is huge, and may be the world’s tallest dog. The landseer newfoundland stands three feet tall and seven feet long from nose to tail. His owner is trying to get into the book of Guinness World Records.
According to the Metro.co.uk his owner Caryn Weber, of Caselton in North Dakota, has told how her pet has become a bit of celebrity since news of his attempt to make the record books has spread.

Riley’s mom Stacie works and volunteers at the Beatrice Humane Society in Beatrice, NE. On Monday someone broke into the shelter and stole money and a kitten. A $100 reward is being offered for the kitten’s safe return.
Sometime between 7:30 p.m. and midnight on Monday, unknown suspects broke into the back door of the Beatrice Humane Society animal shelter, taking an undisclosed amount of cash and a kitten, Beatrice Police Captain Gerald Lamkin said. The kitten is described as a male, black and white tuxedo, white paws and a white mustache.
It was wearing an orange paper collar.
Beatrice Humane Society officials are offering a $100 reward for the safe return of the kitten, Beatrice Humane Society executive director Gina Grone said.

Bilbo wasn’t really on Baywatch, but he does save lives. He also isn’t human, he’s is an 198 lb. Newfoundland and is the only lifeguard dog in Britain.
Due to a new ban, Bilbo’s job has been terminated. Being the smart boy that he is, he’s made a video to try and convince Gordon Brown to give him back his job.
The only lifeguard dog in Britain is starring in a video appeal to Gordon Brown to get his job back.
Bilbo, a 90kg (14stone) Newfoundland, was banned from his beach and is in a short, Baywatch-style film sent to No. 10.
A Facebook group has also been set up for the dog, which has helped rescue dozens of people.
