I certainly wasn’t expecting a caption involving beer to be the winner of a contest featuring a Golden Retriever and a stuffed giraffe but that’s the way it turned out. Congrats to, Len Kowalski, our Zealie winner for the week.
Oh, and I got a report from the Golden’s mom that the stuffed giraffe has now joined the rest of the headless stuffed toys in their back yard.

Happy Columbus Day, Dogsters! The winner for last week’s contest was one of those no-contest scenarios. Throw in a really bad pun that works with the photo and you’re almost guaranteed victory. Congrats to Peanutty for the best in the bunch.

When we’re reviewing entries here at contest HQ we make it a point of not looking at names until we’ve picked our top caption. This week the name tied to the best caption was a familiar one because he’s no newcomer to photo contest victory. Indeed, “Max aka Gator Lips the Swamp Dawg” has won several times before. Max, or can we just call you Gator Lips, well played, my friend.

Well, Dogsters, you’ve been busy coming up with great captions for the last contest during my week off. This week’s winner is Sampson, who gets props for managing to include a Jerry Lee Lewis reference in a photo of a Chihuahua. Sampson, those Zealies will be on their way soon.
