Pet Photo Contest Winner for 6/01/2009
Mark Rogers

Sometimes it’s all about perserverance (any dog will tell you that) and if you look up the word tenacious in the dictionary you’d see today’s contest winner listed there by name. Huntington (Thinking ’bout Rosie 24/7) has been a regular (and prodigious)  competitor in this caption contest but until today, victory has slipped through her paws. Well, not any longer. Today’s clear winner and the 50 Zealies go to you, my friend.

Photo Caption Contest: Beach Buddies
Mark Rogers

When I asked for suggestions about this contest several weeks ago many folks indicated they liked the challenge of the double-quote contest when more than one animal was featured. Your wish is my command, Dogsters. Here you go. Let me know what both dogs are thinking and the best quotes will earn their writer a grand prize of 50 Zealies next Monday, June 1st when the winner is announced.

Photo Contest Winner for 3/2/2009
Mark Rogers

I was a little worried when I checked out the total number of entries this week — down to 51 from over 100 last week — but quality was definitely not lacking. It was an extremely tough choice this week and I really laughed a lot reading through the quotes. However, there can be only one and this week it’s Jasmine with her truly funny contribution. Nice work, Jasmine.

Next contest coming your way tomorrow. Stay tuned…

Photo Contest Winner for 2/23/2009

Whew. Sorry for the late post, Dogsters, but it took longer than usual to get through all the entries this week – almost 150 of them this time around. This week, long-time contestant Sadie Lickin’s walks away again with the 50 Zealie prize. Congrats, Sadie, that’s two in a row. Win any more and people will think this is is a rigged contest

Photo Contest: Nah, I Can’t…Really
Mark Rogers

French Bulldogs have been stars on this contest before and for good reason: they’re so freaking expressive. I recently had the opportunity to photograph a basic dog training class here in San Francisco and had he opportunity to meet a French Bully named Lola. She was tiny but, like other small-in-stature French leaders of the past, she really packs a punch and demands attention (too bad she wasn’t named Josephine)

For this week’s contest. the worthy winner who puts the right words in Lola’s mouth walks away with a 50-Zealie prize on V-day:  Monday February 22nd.
