Flinters, Flinty

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

March 7th 2003

He loves to be hugged and cuddled more than any dog I have ever known;-). Walks, Swimming, riding on my Sea-Doo in summer, Training time and People

When no one wants to paly, and he hates having his Nails Trimed!!!! He also gets real upset with me when I go for a ride on the sea-doo with out him.

Favorite Toy:
That would be his Wiggley Giggley but I'm affraid the W. G. met its match with Flint. He loves the infamous tennis ball and frisbee.

Favorite Food:
Unfortunately, I think it's socks. Bad Puppy!! He loves bully sticks and popcorn, but he is fed Canidae dog food. He also loves to lick our yogurt containers

Favorite Walk:
Meeting up with his pooch friends at Glacial Park

Best Tricks:
Riding the Sea-Doo, ringing the bell when he wants to go out, retrieveing the paper. He gives us back the yogurt container when he is through licking it clean.

Arrival Story:
Brandy was our Golden Retriever before Flint. She was our companion for almost 16 years. When she whent to Rainbow Bridge in Feb. 03 the house wasn't the same. My husband wanted to wait a year before getting another. My son and I could not imagine living a year without another golden. When our nephew heard, he told us a good friend of his breeds goldens and a litter was due in March. On March 7 Flint and his 5 sibs were born. Well how could we resist? We had the pick of the 4 males. When we got it down to choose between 2 pups, and what a hard choise that was, I wanted them both. Flint was the only pup that actually climbed out of the hammock with out his paws falling through the holes. I could see he was the agility dog I was looking for. The one we didn't pick ( now known as Trapper) was donated to PAWS With A Cause to be trained for therapy dog.

When Flint was about 4 months old he started riding with me on my Sea-Doo (wave runner). All summer when I took it out he wanted to come with, he loves it. Now that he is full grown it's a bit awkward for his big butt to fit on the seat. He still wants to go go go, how ever the trips are not as long. The neighbors get a real kick seeing him out on the water with me. Flint also comes from quite a line of pedigrees. His father Gambler, as well as a 1/2 brother has won several best in show, and his Grandfather Chipper was the #1 Golden in the US for 2001! Flint is proud of his family but is happy being a devoted pet to us. He wants to continue his obedience and agility training.

Hello,Hello Everyone!!
It has been a long time since I have said much, so here I am to say Hi and wish every one a happy summer!!! I had Mom make some changes to my page too. It was about time she did something. We now have our first corny movie to show the world LOL .AND I have a guest book she installed yesterday. What fun, Please sign in, I would love to hear from you. I had a fantastic 4th of July, Mom, Dad & my nonfur bro went on the pontoon to see the fire works from the water. What a show that was and I wasn't afraid at all, I love the excitement. I paced some but I had my Aunt and Uncle people with me. They brought their pup too. What a cutie she is,but I got mad when she wouldnt stop biting and shaking my tail like it was s stuffed toy. I had to keep telling myself she wasn't a possum. You seeI have made a reputation of throwing possums around whenever I flush one out of the bushes. Mom and Dad made real sure it was clear to me not to do that. LOL I love it!! Your pal, Flint

My Tail of Devotion for Flint

Wow, Where do I start? Well, considering I wouldn't be here typing this if it were not for the love of a dog. Then I guess my story starts many years ago, when I was a toddler. One summer day forty something years ago I was left in the backyard alone for just a few moments. It was then that I ceased the moment to escape from the confinement of the yard to explore. Just acorss the road was bright colored revolving things, and the sounds of children and swings. I had to investigate, big kids were giggling and playing. So away I went to the street, between the parked cars where no one could see me. But I wasn't alone after all. I had a guardian, an angel with fur and a wet cold nose. Before I knew it there was a wall of fur blocking me. I screamed, cryed and hit the furry wall but it would not budge. Pulling at her hair and trying to escape but she held her ground. She new something terrible would happen if she let me go. Like I said no one could see me not even the car that had passed at 35 mph at that precise time. I for sure would have been killed. My father saw this from the window. It happened so quickly he could not have gotten to me in time. The angle I speek of was our family dog, Dawn a collie. From what I heard she was fed steak for a long time after that, and I was not ever left alone. I have always loved dogs and have always had my guardians with me. Flint has come to me many years latter and he is one of a kind never leaving my side. He fears nothing and will do anything to please for nothing more than to have a scratch behind the ears and your love. I often wonder if the spirit of Dawn is with in him.

This is a special Tail of Devotion

Like the title says. Yahoooeeeee, It's June 29th and I finally got to go out with Mom on the, you guessed it, " Sea-doooo" Woof ;-) I don't care if my butt is to big I'll just sit on my Mom then. Its just like riding a bike, you don't forget how. And NO I dont ride a bike, not yet anyway LOL. When we got back to the lift, at the pier I jump off then jumped back on and said LETS GO AGAIN. So, she laughed and took me out again. Just to let all of you, who might be concerned I always make Mom put my doggie vest on me before I go. And she never takes me out if the water is to ruff (no pun intended their folks) I have great blance, some times I stand but if she speeds up a little I sit back down again. Well I guess it time for my human brother to go for a ride now. I think I'll let him but not for to long MOM. 'Till next time and have a great summer. Waggs, Flint
