My dog, Bizzy, generally wins any sort of biggest-ears contest but I recently met a serious contender for world champion. His name is Blinkin’ and he’s a a chihuahua-dachshund-terrier mix who I’m convinced can probably pick up radio signals from outer space.
Have at it, Dogsters. I expect some funny ones from you this week. Submit your entries by commenting on this post below. The winner will be announced next Tuesday, September 15th and will win 50 Zealies.
And, you can also check out more pix of Blinkin’ and his ears

Now that everyone’s rested and ready for fall I hope you’re up for some great new contests starting tomorrow morning. Stay tuned.

Boy, you guys made it really tough to pick a winner this week. Lots and lots of excellent entries. However, I have to hand it to Brenda for her contribution. It’s truly laugh-out-loud funny.
Enjoyt the 50 Zealies Brenda. Everyone else, get ready for tomorrow’s contest.

This week’s photo comes courtesy of a cool little guy named Cody here in San Francisco. In addition to being a natural ham (see the picture) Cody is also looking for a good home. So, if you’re in the SF Bay area or know of a responsible dog owner who might like a great little addition to their family you can contact the good folks at Milo Foundation to learn more.
As for the contest, to qualify for the 50-Zealie prize submit your caption suggestion by commenting on this post. The winner will be announced next Monday, August 31st. See more photos of cody.

When we’re reviewing entries here at contest HQ we make it a point of not looking at names until we’ve picked our top caption. This week the name tied to the best caption was a familiar one because he’s no newcomer to photo contest victory. Indeed, “Max aka Gator Lips the Swamp Dawg” has won several times before. Max, or can we just call you Gator Lips, well played, my friend.
Stay tuned for a the next contest coming your way tomorrow.

With dogs, posture and body language are everything — the most subtle movement can speak volumes. Your job, Dogsters, is to tell me what these two pups are saying. The best caption wins 50 Zealies next Monday, August 24, when the victor is announced.

What were we thinking?

Well, Dogsters, you’ve been busy coming up with great captions for the last contest during my week off. This week’s winner is Sampson, who gets props for managing to include a Jerry Lee Lewis reference in a photo of a Chihuahua. Sampson, those Zealies will be on their way soon.
The next contest is on its way tomorrow.

I photographed this little Chihuahua named Flower last year and this photo of her with a favorite toy always makes me laugh. Dogsters, it’s up to you to make me laugh even harder with your caption suggestions. Enter your ideas for what Flower was thinking by commenting on this post below and you might be the winner of a 50-Zealie prize.
You’ve got extra time to come up with a winner, too, because this contest will be up for two weeks while I take a little time off to recharge and take more funny photos for this weekly event.
The winner will be announced on Monday, August 17th. Have fun!

Hope the folks at Kelloggs don’t bust, Macenzy, this week’s contest winner for a copyright infringement over the use of Eggo’s in this week’s caption. Just let us all know if they come and get you and we’ll try to bail you out. Even if it happens, it was worth it because this caption was nicely done. Congrats.
Everyone stay tuned for the next contest coming your way tomorrow morning…
