Every day, Dogsters are making us all proud as they make the world better in all kinds of ways. Many Dogster and Catster groups work hard to help other pups and kittens. Doggie Do Gooders is one of these marvelous groups.

Gibbon and his furmom Jazmine barked in to share a sweet story of a Dogster who gave what she could to help dogs she had never met.

Hi Joy! As you have previously blogged here, Doggie Do Gooders is a special group that helps one rescue at a time by nominating, voting for and then donating to one special animal organization every month. For January, the pick of the month was Amazing Aussies, a shelter that saves Lethal White Australian Shepherds and matching them with new forever families while raising awareness to eradicate Merle-to-Merle breeding through educational programs. Them name “Lethal White” in reference to Aussies stems from the fact that these white pups have historically been destroyed at birth because of the likelihood they may be blind, deaf or both.

The Douglas Sisters barked in to invite everyone to participate in this year’s Caring and Sharing Contest and Stroll. This is a great Dogster tradition. Sinply you and your Dogster do some good in your community, take some photos and join in the fun of Caring and Sharing 07. And there are some great prizes, too!

The first thing you have to do is something Caring or Sharing for people or animals in your community. (Like take your dog to a Nursing Home, Do something for your local Humane Society or Soup Kitchen, Etc.)

One of our beloved Dogsters, Blue, is still missing after 6 months of intensive searches. Lena Malik barked in to remind us that we should still be looking for him. It looks like he may have been adopted by someone. If you see Blue, please let his adopter know he has a family who love and miss him. There is a sizeable reward offered too.

Dear Joy,

Lately there has been a lot of busy paws writing entries in their diaries similarly titled “Feeling BLUE” or about BLUE. He is one of sadly many cases of beloved missing pets, what is unusual is that there was even a hot air balloon search for him by kind volunteers a few months back. This coming November 8th will be the solemn half year mark of his disappearance but we will not give up because we have read many miraculous reunions of pets and their families after many months, even years. He may be one case but he and his friends who are still searching and relaying information, thoughts and prayers all over dogster are examples and testaments of the camaraderie, friendship and heart of many who’ve been brought together by their dogs and dogster.

I’m writing on behalf of my friend Tammy who has found herself in a serious situation. Due to circumstances beyond her control she is serving a short sentence in the Clark County Jail in Neillsville, Wisconsin. During this time her husband has left her and GIVEN AWAY her two dogs!!

A group of her Dogster friends (Dogster group Min Pin Manchester Mania – aka MPMM) are rallying together and doing everything we can think of to find them!!

Thanks to Sadie Bug for barking in to the All Fur Fun Group tell us all how we can share our furbabies’ pictures with the world.

Grammy just made some stamps with my picture on them. She thought you might want to let your humans know about this site. Grammy wanted to me to you that the stamps are a little expensive (about double what a normal sheet of 20 stamps cost). You can put borders on them and there is a pet section of borders too!! They’re really cool.
