More fun stuff on Dogster! Wow! Those Dogster HQ dogs and cats are at it again! Just when you think they’ve done everything they can to make Dogster and Catster a real howling place, they go and add something else!

This bark came in special request from Belgian who keeps an eye out to help other Dogsters. BTW, if you do travel some or are willing to travel more to help dogs, check out the Dogster Railroad Forum. Its where rescue groups or others post information about dogs and cats who need transportation from one area to another. If you’ve got room in the car or truck and a dog or cat needs transport, why not? You get a little extra company while you’re being part of saving a dog or cat. Sounds like a great trade to me!

A fellow dogster named Blaze and his family have voluntered to foster a dog who will be PTS on the 26th. the thing is that Blaze lives in TX and the dog is in GA. We need help transporting so the pup gets off death row.

Are you a non Stateside dogster who would really like one of those cool Dogster stickers but just don’t have easy access to US postage (cause getting them requires sending in a self addressed stamped envelope). Well a Dogster wants to help connect you up! Daisy and her peeps want to share Dogster love so all you have to do is p-mail Daisy and she’ll get an appropriately stamped and addressed envelope to HQ for you! How sweet is that?

Save Man’s Best Friend from the Dog Meat Trade - Say YES to House Bill 2991, is now live for everyone to visit and sign to help stop the dog meat trade in the Philippines. Those who sign will be supporting a House Bill currently pending in Congress to impose stiffer penalties against the dog meat traders. It is urgent that we obtain, at a minimum, 50,000 signatures by April 30, 2007. Elections will be held in the Philippines in May 2007, and we want to place an international spotlight and global pressure on the country and its government.

Dog-fur coats make comeback at J.C. Penney

DALLAS — J.C. Penney Co. removed some fur-trimmed coats from its racks around Christmas after animal-rights activists objected that the fur came from wild dogs in China.

Last week, the department-store company put the coats back on the racks — but only after directing employees to use marker pens to blot out the line on the label that identified the trim as raccoon fur.

Are you looking for a way to help homeless dogs find homes? how about becoming part of the Dogster Railroad? What is it I hear you asking. Well, just like the Underground Railroad in slave-era America moved humans escaping death, the Dogster Railroad moves dogs needing homes from the places they can’t stay to people and shelters who can help them find homes.

Here’s what it says on the Forum page:

Woof! This is a special place for Dogsters to help Dogsters arrange for community transport of rescues or dogs being rehomed.

How can you help? The Dogster Railroad needs human Dogsters to be links from one location to the next. If you can take a few hours and drive needy dogs then you can make a difference in whether or not these dogs live or die.
