Video: Canine Reunion After Haiti
Watch CBS News Videos Online
An American couple doing AIDS relief work in Haiti fled to the US with their 7-month-old daughter after sleeping in the streets for three nights amid the devastation following the massive earthquake last month. They could not take their dogs. The dogs were no strangers to disasters: The couple had rescued them after Hurricane Katrina, and had vowed never to let them be abandoned again. Their tale unfolds in the CBS video, above.

Oh, I am crying such tears of joy here! What an amazing story! How wonderful to see the dogs being reunited with their family–such tail wags! I’m so happy it turned out this way.
What an awesome story! For any critics who would declare we should concentrate all our efforts on helping only people, I suggest that we each have our “callings” and the helpless pets need us, too. These tireless Humane Society workers are amazing and dedicated to their task. Hats off!
Reunions are the best. We are so thrilled for this happy ending.
That’s touching…
This story so touches my heart. God bless them and those sweet babies.
I love Doxies. So glad they are back with their owners.
