A Dog Who Speaks For Us All
Hey…it’s Bo here.
Bow-Wow!, the free monthly newspaper for dog lovers on the Oregon and southwest Washington coast, has been keeping readers informed about dog-related events and activities since 2000. It’s entertaining, too, with regular features about dogs and their people.
In this month’s issue, rover reporter Gus Nevan gets his paws on a copy of my book. Since this was the first review of my book typeset on recycled trees, I was a bit nervous as I read along.
Bo Hoefinger, now that’s my kind of dog. A dog’s dog, if you know what I mean. He gets it, man, he really gets what being a dog is all about. And he tells it like it is, none of that high-falutin’, nose in the air attitude stuff for him. No sir. He’s not afraid to call a dog fart a dog fart. And, like me, he’s not ashamed of letting one rip, either.
All I can say is that Gus Nevan gets it, man, he really gets what being a reporter is all about!
Bad to the Bone is more fun than a ride in the car with the windows open—especially for my fellow mutts who have wagged their way out of the shelter system and into a devoted family. I say, drag your parents down to the book store and have them fetch a copy.

I’m glad you posted this today, Bo, cos I’ve got a bone (snicker) to pick with you! We got our copy of your book yesterday and all the way in to work on the bus this morning I was giggling and snickering and snorting uncontrollably and it’s ALL YOUR FAULT! People were staring!
AND we are waiting for your book to arrive in the post Horst !! Dragging at the lead so to speak !!

Pogo-Bo wants me to pass on a message, he says “It’s easy for you to laugh you didn’t need to suffer through the humiliation of living with these two.It’s not easy being a dog in this house. Well, it’s not so bad…I am pretty spoiled. Woof.”

Bo we want to thank you for one very important thing. Because of you we know now that we are not the only pups that have a mother who cannot cook a decent meal. BOL And that we don’t have to be ashamed of that, it’s just the way it is ! We love you friend and our mommy love your’s ! BOL XOXOXO
