Good Day Atlanta Xtra Appearance
On Thursday I made my first TV appearance on Good Day Atlanta Xtra, our local Fox 5 station. Bo was not able to come so I brought, the yet to be mentioned, Kensy. We got him not long ago and with all that has been going on haven’t formally introduced him.
How we got him is actually a funny story, it involves one visiting sister-in-law and PetSmart. Lisa and her sister, Marcy, went to go grab some dog food, a daily errand at our house. The only problem, it was dog adoption day, never a good idea. Before Lisa knew what was happening her sister had jumped out of the not yet parked car and found us a new dog.
We had actually been thinking of adopting a playmate for Logan, since Bo can’t play because of his age and Copper never really did. Long story shorter….they never made it into PetSmart to get what they went for but our family did grow by one fuzzy member.

We had our first book signing on Saturday, October 17th, it went great. We had 37 books and sold out! I want to give a special shout-out to Bella’s dad Alan who drove about an hour to come see us. I also want to thank everyone again for all the support we’ve been receiving, for helping spread the word about Bo’s book. If everyone keeps passing on Bo’s info I know his adorable mug will be in front of bookstores in no time.

Kensy is beautiful, why the lion haircut? Is he trying to be intimidating? He is so well behaved. Congratulations on your new baby!
Hi Erika…the lion haircut is for a video we’re making, for Bo’s book. Unfortunately it’s taking a little longer than expected. We swear it wasn’t done just for our own amusement.
Thanks for the congrats,Kensy is a cutie, everyone at Fox fell in love with him. Someone wanted to know if he was up for adoption. No!
I saw the interview last week and when they first showed Kensy at the top of the show I remarked to Molly that dog doesn’t look like Bo. Hope he is doing well. Congratulations on your new family member, that’s one lucky dog. Seeing as it was Marcy who jumped out of the car and found the dog is she becoming Marcy Dogcollector?
Couldn’t make it to Acworth this past Saturday, I hope you have plans for more book signings. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the book so far and can definitely relate to some of it.
Thanks Mollydog. The bookstore was so happy with the signing that we’re going back on ‘Black Friday’, the infamous day after Thanksgiving.
I’m even working on a special surprise for that signing…stay tuned.
As for Marcy, I’ll be keeping an eye on her the next time she visits.
Kensy is adorable. and congrats to Bo on his book sales. Are you going to be in Nashville, TN at any time signing books.
Thanks Barbara, Tipper, Oreo and Lady…The only signings we have now are local. We need to continue to get the word out about the book, the more popular it becomes the more the bookstores take notice.
If it starts getting placed in all bookstores, and in the front where it should be, then a whole lot more book signings would take place. Which would be great.
With friends like you helping to promote BAD TO THE BONE we know this can happen.
Way to go…Great job..and Kensy is adorable…I am sure Kensy will be a great Blogger also.. Hugs Min
Kensy really is a cutie! What a nice calm personality too.
During one part of the interview, he asked if you have any plans with a movie or Hollywood, I noticed Kensy stood up at attention..
Was he thinking… “Hollywood, did you say Hollywood?”
BOL..
Hope Bo is okay..
Kensy is adorable and what a sweet personality! Congrats to Bo on his book sales! PS – we would love to be added to your dog links!
Wow, that’s a good looking, sweet natured dog. Lisa (an dher sister) sure can pick them! (Or do they pick her?) Congratulations on your newest addition to your family. Loved the haircut – he looks adorable. Give Bo a big kiss and tell him everyone knows he’s still Top Dog! We devoured Bo’s book (not literally).
