Wow, Boomer is huge, and may be the world’s tallest dog.  The landseer newfoundland stands three feet tall and seven feet long from nose to tail. His owner is trying to get into the book of Guinness World Records.

According to the Metro.co.uk his owner Caryn Weber, of Caselton in North Dakota, has told how her pet has become a bit of celebrity since news of his attempt to make the record books has spread.

  3. Woofah

I had to look up my book of Dog Breeds to find out about a Landseer Newfoundland and they are expected to grow to 28 inches only, so that is one big, big dog!

  4. Joi

What a beauty! I love big dogs and this baby certainly qualifies!

  5. Erika

you could hug him really hard and not have to worry about breaking him!

  6. Jesse

That dog is a Siberian Husky’s dream… being able to counter surf without the telltale sound of your paws hitting the ground afterwards! And no-one can tell you “get off the counter!” cos you aren’t ON it! BOL

  7. milo

Hiring a professional pooper scooper would be mandatory if I had a dog this big. I wonder if he ever walks on his hind legs, like to peek over a fence.

  8. Schnooks

Wow…being a horizontally challenged (basset hound) dog myself, I am impressed! He is sure cute!

  9. Janelle Welch

This dog is HUGE! If he lived in Northern Virginia, I’d put him on the cover of my magazine!!!!!
