Daisy Is Dog Of The Week
Daisy, a beautiful 8-year-old rottweiler, is this week’s Dog Of The Week. She has been on Dogster since June 2006, more than three years!
Her mom Gail works tirelessly to help dogs find their furever homes by fostering and assisting with re-homing. She is also very active in BSL.
Sadly, on August 28th Daisy was diagnosed with cancer. Here’s what happened….
I was diagnosed with OSTEOSARCOMA. So we were going to amputate my leg but there is to many cons vs pros. To put me through so much for very little hope mom and dad didn’t want to do it. So sadly and with broken hearts mom and dad will love me for as long as I am here.. even more if possible. Since I was diagnosed I have been hardly getting around without pain. Mom and dad are doing everything they can. I will get my leg brace tomorrow to make my ” better” leg more stable to help me get around. I don’t know how long I have but I will look forward to everyday. That’s the best I can do for my mom and dad who love me so much.
Since then we have a new foster … I should say HAD a new foster. She is now my sis. Her name
was Daisy also but mom changed it to Miss D ( we call her D). I love having a new sis and so does my brother. I hope you all welcome my new sis to my family. She will help mom and dad and Bullet when the time comes I am not here.
We are so sorry to hear about Daisy’s diagnosis. Please stop by her page and send her some love and well-wishes, it would mean a lot to the family.
On the brighter side, we would like to welcome Daisy’s new sis D to her furever home and the Dogster family. You can welcome D by stopping by her homepage.

Daisy is very special to me. Her brother Bullet also has a tumor and needs our prayers and thoughts. Not to mention her spectacular parents who keep so many wonderful creatures alive by their constant efforts. They truly are all angels here on earth. I love them all more than I can say.

So far my baby has beaten the odds given to her for nearly 6 years and I treasure every moment. Live it day as though it’s my last with her. I can’t get sweet Daisy out of my brain. I keep thinking about her since I’ve known and it’s tearing up my heart. I can only imagine how her family feels. I still have my little angel sitting on my computer at home that Daisy’s mommy sent me. I have always had a special fondness for Rotties and of course any living creature. Dog Bless.

Daisy, Bullet and Miss D are so near and dear to us… The three of them bonded so beautifully when Miss D arrived and I just know that Miss D will make Daisy’s remaining time easier. Their mom, Gail, is a tireless champion against BSL and does such good work. I feel so honored to be friends with them. They are in our prayers.
