Guardian Dies-Four Pups Need A Home

I just received a message looking for help to save four dogs that belonged to an elderly man who passed away. The deceased owner of these dogs, Mr. David M. Dodson was a career serviceman in the navy. He served a total of 21 years and was awarded numerous medals and honors.
The dogs were his life, he did everything for them and his biggest fear was the dogs would be put down when he passed. His last wish was that his dogs find new forever homes.
This man served our country, put his life on the line, fought for us. Let’s make Mr. Dodson proud of his country by pulling together and fighting to make sure we find his dogs a safe place to live out their days.
The Brazoria County Humane Society in Alvin, Texas currently has all the dogs. There are 3 Malti-poos, pictured left, and 1 Terrier named Bullet (as seen in pic above) that need homes.
The dogs range in age from almost 5 to 9-years-old. If you are interested please contact Shirley at the BCHS via email.
Please post and crosspost this, Shirley isn’t worried about getting too many requests she just wants to make sure they all get new loving forever families. If you are truly interested please contact Shirley direct, I do not have any more information than what I posted.

I would love to give them a home!
those dogs are adorable I hope who ever adopts them can take all 3 it would be a shame if they had to be seperated with them just losing their daddy
I wish I could take them, but I have three, but I will post to see if anyone I know maybe interested. It would be nice if they could stay together.
Hope all of the dogs can stay together to honor this man.
How Sweet!! I also hope these dogs can stay together to honor this wonderful man that served his country!! What a great man!!
I have no doubt they will be adopted just that they may be seperated…
I would but I am in another state.
It would be nice if they can still live together. I just adopted a dog whose owner died. She is still mourning and requires alot of extra help in learning to cope with the loss of her owner and her home. It helped her to be with other dogs and and owners who are with her alot.
Small dogs are easily adoptable in Texas. I hope they are in a great foster enviroment to help them overcome thier grief more quickly. You have to keep them interested and active doing what they love the best. Lots of training, walks, ball, whatever gets a strong response from them will help them to realize that a new home can be a wonderful thing. I would hope that if I passed that my dogs would be cared for in the manner I provide for them. One would think that your own family would find a way to keep the animals but that is often not the case. Often the pets are not sure that thier owner died, if they did not witness it, and think that they can return to thier old house and find them there.
Dogs do move on though, and live in the moment. Hopefully, never forgetting the owner they first loved, but going on to form furever relationships with new owners that bring them much pleasure. Well socialized dogs seem to do better at this than those that had limited exposure to the outside world.
Sometimes, putting up an ad in the local VA meeting spot, or in the local VA news will help the dogs to find an owner that is similar to the one they had before. Maybe listing in a local Senior Center would be a good idea, too.
