Need A Kind Soul To Adopt Buster

I just received a heartbreaking email about a dog named Buster. The pictures are very disturbing, the boy was at death’s door when someone found him.
I know there is a kind soul out there who is willing to give this poor boy a chance at life, a good life. He is currently in Staten Island waiting for a forever home, he doesn’t have much time.

Buster arrived here as a stray. To put it mildly, he was at death’s door: he was starving and his body was covered in sores (from urine stains). We can only assume that before finding himself on the street, he was kept confined, in filthy conditions, and not fed. I met him day after he arrived. He was sleeping in the back of his cage, curled up in a ball. We gently nudged him awake, and he dutifully stood there while we put a leash on him. And then we discovered the wonderful resilience of animals … even those who should never
trust another human again. But Buster was grateful for our attention, for the walk, for the opportunity to relieve himself outdoors, and for some yummy dog food (we have to feed him small servings). He’s around 8 years old and weighs a mere 35 pounds.
Anyone interested please contact Brett of Kodi’s Club Rescue at 917-292-9154 or via e-mail. Please post and crosspost this message. I cannot bear the thought that Buster will die without ever having known love and kindness from a human.

I so hope that someone takes him! I wish we could.
Poor little soul. He so deserves a break. Hoping with all my heart someone takes him to their heart.
So heartbreaking. Some people should never be allowed to own dogs. I work at a pet store and we get people in all the time with no clue at all.
What a sweet boy! He’s not going to be put down is he? I’m hoping he’s at least in a foster home. If only I ws closer. I have a soft spot for those older ones. Let’s find Buster a home!
I hope Buster has a new home SOON. I cross posted this message to help get the word out.

I do not know when he will be put down, the email just said his time is limited. Buster is a boy who is going to need a tremendous amount of love and medical care to survive. I’m sure the shelter does not have the resources to continue this much longer.
If anyone out there can adopt him and give him the forever family he deserves please act now. The other pictures I rec’d were too graphic to even post, Buster has been through a horrible ordeal. The fact that he is even alive is a miracle, it makes me believe he survived for a reason.
Are you that reason?
What a beautiful boy! Such a loving and trusting face. Crossing my paws that the right family will adopt Buster in time.
What exactly does Buster need medical wise? Also, does he get along well with other dogs? He doesn’t act alpha at all does he?
If you can get him to me in Oklahoma, I will take him.
If anyone is seriously interested in Buster please contact Brett via email or the number listed above. I do not have any info on him except for what I rec’d, which is what I posted.
I did not post all pics because they were too disturbing but suffice it to say you could see every bone in his body. Just from seeing the photos I know he is going to need extensive medical care and love to nurse him back to health.
He is not the right dog for everyone but I know he is the right dog for someone. Is it you?
Dean in Oklahoma says he’ll take Buster if someone can get him to Okalhoma. If someone can get him as far as St. Louis (my location), I can take him the rest of the way to OK.
Dean just got a message back from the rescue and it looks like Buster is safe and will eventually have the home he deserves. Thanks to everyone who inquired about him…..
Dear Dean,
Don’t worry, Buster is safe with our rescue group. He was taken from the shelter to a facility in upstate New York where he will have all his needs met. Ultimately, we will find him a forever home once he is healthy.
Thank you for your inquiry and for caring about Buster.Feel free to check back via e-mail from time to time and I can inform you on his progress and journey to recovery.
Take care.

Oh my goodness! I am so happy to hear this! I just got my email tonight from Horst showing me the pictures. How horrible that someone would allow their very own best friend to get like this. I was wondering how I would be able to rescue Buster all the way in Indiana too. So glad he is gonna get the medical help he needs. I know Buster deserves that second chance.
Good luck Buster! Thanks to all who care about him and so many other special babies.
I just got the story today. Every time I hear a horrifying story of abuse to a dog or any animal, I think it is the worse I’ve heard of or seen, but there is always one worse. It still amazes and appauld me of how humans can be so cruel to innocent creatures who cannot fend for themselves. God did not create us to be cruel, mean, uncaring etc, we learn that. God made all creatures to love and care for one another. It is so sad that there are so many such people out there and innocent little creatures suffers for the madness and sickness. It is not what God meant for us to be. i’m glad Buster has the love and care he so deserves.
