Ozzy Osbourne’s Pup Killed By Coyote

I just received sad news about the Osbourne’s beloved dog Little Bit, he was attacked and killed by a coyote.
Here’s the story from Peoplepets.com.
It’s a gloomy day for the Prince of Darkness: the U.K.’s Telegraph is reporting that Ozzy Osbourne’s Pomeranian, Little Bit, was eaten by a coyote at his family’s Los Angeles home on Tuesday. The rocker and wife Sharon were apparently watching the Michael Jackson tribute on television and couldn’t hear their dog’s yelps as he was attacked in the backyard, said the report.
Daughter Kelly Osbourne took to Twitter on Wednesday and wrote that her father is “devastated…she was his other women![sic].” The attack reportedly prompted authorities in the Los Angeles area to issue a warning about coyote attacks, saying, “Wild animals are opportunistic, and coyotes fit this mold very well.”
Our condolences to the Osbourne family.

I am so sorry for the little dog- but rather disgusted w/ the owners…they KNOW they have coyotes- why would they leave a tiny Pomeranian outside , unattended?
Oh- Wait-
they are rich and famous-right.
Good pet stewardship does not take their start status into consideration.
If you live in “the hills” WATCH your pet!
Oh- right- they were watching the highly important funeral of one of their peers- a drug abuser who also goofed up…
Poor dog…
That is such sad news. I know the Osburnes love and spoil their furry family.
Deepest sympathy to their family.
This is so sad…I was a faithful watcher of ” The Osbournes” and it was obvious they truly cared about their pets. My sympathies go out to them….

Our heartfelt sympathy to their family~
Coyotes attack when you least expect them too ~ drought conditions in California have forced them to hunt in our backyards during daylight hours.
We have lost two beloved kitties (Tango 14 y/o & Clementine 8 y/o) to coyotes & there is nothing the Osbornes could have done to prevent this tragic accident from happening.
In our hearts & prayers~ Triton & Kona
Thats such sad news, though it’s saddening, I can’t help but feel bad for those coyotes as well. They are running out of places to stay and are constantly trapped and killed. It’s a sad lost for the osbournes but I hope they’re not going to go on a killing spree of the coyotes.
HAVING HAD MY CAT TOMCAT ATTACKED BY COYOTES IN FEB AND LIVED TO WALK ANOTHER DAY..I UNDERSTAND THIS PROBLEM FIRST HAND .AFTER HRS OF SURGERY AND HUNDRED STICTES TC IS UP AND DOING WELL.HE IS VERY LUCKY.
my heart goes out to the osborns.there is nothing sadder in the world then losing our fur babies.and it is even sadder when it is like this.as for the first comment being that they were lazy in watching their baby.we have all suffered a tramatic loss with mj untimly passing.and i’m sure they were just amottionally derailed at that moment in time like the rest of us.it only takes a min, … 1 min how many times have we all turned away from out furbabies for just a min.anything can happen.ANYTHING…
so to the osbourne family i send you my deepest condolences.
i would be honored to make Lil Bit a pair of wings..to help her fly free at the rainbow bridge
hugs

Our deepest condolences to the Osbourne family on the tragic loss of their beloved Little Bit. Please be careful everyfur.Several furs, big and small, here have had runins with coyotes and others have been injured, killed or taken.
My heart goes out to the Osbourne family, I know how a dog can become a member of the family.
I am sorry for your lose.
We are so sorry for Little Bit…Godspeed little pup, and the Osbourne’s. As stated previously drought conditions are driving the coyote’s down. I no longer let my girls out in our fenced backyard…6 ft. block walls, without watching. The coyotes are desperate and they attack within seconds. If the Osbournes had been standing there they probably could not have stopped it. Their pups are loved, just as ours are. How sad.
I know the Osbournes loved their dog, but since they knew they were going to be occupied with watching the memorial telecast they should have kept the dog indoors. Responsibility people, you have pets and/or children you need to be responsible and keep them safe. If you can’t live up to that then don’t have either. The coyote’s aren’t to be blamed as they are predatory animals and they were doing what is in their nature to do. We must remember that this isn’t just our planet and that in many places we are the interlopers into the animals domain.
Just for the record, Michael Jackson’s passing is not a traumatic loss for everybody, just another messed up celebrity.
Dear Ozzie, Sharon and family, I am deeply sorry this happened. I’m so sorry that you lost your little “woman”. That is so heartbreaking. My deepest sympathy goes out to you. I will keep your little pomeranian puppy’s soul in my prayers. Our love and prayers and we are crying with you on this tragic loss.
Hugs,
Helen and her cocker spaniels
This is not the first time this has happened to one of their dogs(or cats). Their Chihuahua, Lulu, was attacked by a coyote & died. Ozzie got there too late to save the little dog, but you’d think they’d know better than to leave their dogs unattended in the backyard after that.
OMD! I went the same way as Little Bit and Mr. Osbourne should not blame himself! The majority of coyote attacks occur at night when these pack animals hunt…Little Bit was killed in the middle of the day and no doubt was out sunning himself or stretching his little legs outside.
We are so very sorry and know the heartache Mr. Osbourne and the family are going through!
Sending Rainbow Hugs to the family!!!

Pomeranians should never roam outdoors unsupervised – even in a fenced yard. Is this the dog that was featured on their show? The one that peed and pooped all over the house? Don’t remember what kind of dog that was, just remember thinking “bad owners.” Guess I was right.
