i’m pretty sure there is a dogster connection that helped this dog. samuel jacob told us about orthopets.com and we took all the information with us from thier website nearly 2 years ago when we spoke to the specialty vets. rio got a brace made and all went well. the alaskan vets know of orthopets from rio who learned of it through dogster…just thought that was a fun ancedote. best wishes to this sweet and unfortunate dog on finding a wonderful furever home…

We saw this on the news this morning – even the news readers were tearing up. This is wonderful for the sweet dog – apparently he is a lovely, well behaved dog and his foster parents said it will be hard to give him up.

People are so awful setting snares – I can’t imagine the awful pain and distress he went through – like any animal caught in a snare like this. Terrible.

It is unbelievable that there are people in this world who are so cruel that they would set a snare for a domestic animal.
I am convinced they are the same people who are so thoughtless or arrogant that they run red lights and end up killing innocent people.
I t is my fervent wish that these people end up (the sooner the better) in the U.S. prison system and find themselves at the bottom of the power chain.

    Good Luck Andre!! POP!

I am looking for a contact person to see about getting my dog a prosthetic leg. Her left leg was remove on July 21,2009. She is having a difficult time in her balance. When she hops her left front leg drops to the ground. She is a cocker spaniel and is 12 ears old. She becomes short of breath and tires out fast. I need some help in finding out who I can talk to about getting my angel a leg.

    Thank You
    Your help is greatly appreciated
