Dog Dumped In Dumpster

In Detroit, MI there is a $500 reward for information to help catch the person who dumped a Maltese in a dumpster. The dog was left on Michigan University’s campus and found by a groundskeeper.
The white Maltese dog was found Tuesday by an EMU groundskeepers, fed, cleaned up and named Angelica before being put up for adoption, the society said.
The society said an Ypsilanti woman adopted the dog Tuesday evening and renamed it Sugar.
A big thank you to the groundskeeper who rescued the dog, and the woman who adopted her. Hopefully Sugar will now have a wonderful life at her new forever home.
The society said it is still looking for information on the dog’s abandonment and anyone with information should call 734-661-3512.

I’m just plain embarrassed to be part of the human race:(
I am right there with you Tania! I found a dog yesterday that had been dumped with trash along the side of the road. The dog was not alive. Not sure how they could have had the heart to just dump the dog like trash whether it was dead or alive. I had animal control come and get the dog.
I agree with you Tania, I too am embarrassed to be a part this so called human race
That’s so sad. How can someone actually do that? I’ve never been able to get my head around those kind of things.
Me too Tania me too. *Sigh* What is wrong with people? Just does’nt make any sense.
Yep, people are getting way worse…
Too many people, too many dogs, too many bad people with dogs.
Hope all of you have your dogs neutered. It just makes me sick that there is no VALUE placed on living creatures. I don’t really want to go into the ethics, but what do you expect from a society that murders it’s own (unborn) children? And living kids TOO.
I have a small farm, I have more dogs that I really want, but I have a hard time ignoring pleas for food/love.
Oh well. I just hope the cruelty/neglect/abandoning will stop, maybe people (those who would make bad “parents”) will NOT get dogs now that the economy is so bad. Millie, my latest needs to be spayed. I sure hope this is my last as I’m over 60 and starting to worry about what will happen to any I take in if I should become ill or…dead. seems like puppy mills just may be put out of business, by the way, the strays(abandoned) I have are PUREBREDS. Probably the products of puppy mills.Sad, so sad.
I totaly agree spay and neutering is a must. These nonsense of dumping animals is way out of control. Some shelters charge for turning in your animals there has to be a way much better than this. I only hope and pray that this will stop. Can you imagine the fear that goes through these animals. It has to be horrible. My problem is I would take them all home with me.
It is discouraging to know what humans are capable of. I just don’t understand it at all. Some of us grieve for animals we don’t even know while their worthless “owners” dump them in a dumpster. Makes no sense.
