Goodbye To A Friend
Bo’s friends mom passed away unexpectedly a few nights ago in her sleep. Wendy, Spy’s mom, was a wonderful and caring woman and helped make Dogster a special place.
She loved all the pups she met here and always had a kind word for everyone, she would never hesitate to lend a hand if anyone needed help.
I just want to take a moment to extend our deepest condolences to the family. We are so sorry about your loss, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Wendy you will be missed.

Wendy was a much loved member of the Dogster Community. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her friends. I am terribly saddened by this loss.
I met Wendy on my first day at Dogster when she came to visit HQ. I had numerous phone conversations with her since and she was a special lady. She loved her pets, Spy, Liz, and La La dearly. She loved Dogster and we loved her too!

wendy was my first pal on dogster and in a heartbeat became so much more than just a puppal or a dogster.
she bacame my friend.
we gave eichother our email and that’s how a beautiful friendship blossomed.
i live in the netherlands so we only had email and pawmail to deepen our friendship.
if i started a dogstergroup?
i did so with wendy.
if i needed advice?
i went to wendy.
and also in my personal life,she became one of my sweetest,dearest friends.
we emailed almost daily.
she was a adopted granny for my three months old daughter amira.
she made my birthcard for her.
she was more than a friend.
she was my sweetheart.
i cannot expres the loss,emptyness and grief.
dogster lost a hardcore dogsterholic.
she deserves a dogster medaille.
we will never forget her legace here on dogster.
her spirit will not leave dogster.
we as her close friends will make sure of that.

Wendy was a very caring woman who loved her family, pets, and friends with all her heart. She was always willing to give her all and is going to be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her an her family during this sad time.

Wendy and I visited Dogster HQ together and she and I put together several meetups in Norhern California. We’d always been talking about getting together for lunch, but sadly, it didn’t come to pass.
Wendy’s warmth and caring nature will be sorely missed here on Dogster. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Wendy was always a good friend to everyone on Dogster. She was someone that was friendly and helpful to me when I joined Dogster. She will be missed by many. We send love and sympathy to her family on their terrible loss.
Wendy and I exchanged notes about Yorkies. She was the breeder/owner/ of the famous Peppermint Patti. .. and had Yorkies before she had the doberman. We spoke on the phone on many occasions ….. and it is so hard to believe that my soon to be mentor on show dogs…..is gone. Unreal. She touched many loves and for sure her family is in our prayers. Niki, your daughter, was blessed to have you as a mother!

Nickolas met Spy shortly after me and Wendy joined and it was bestest buds at that moment. I believe Wendy was that sort of Soul from heaven. She was here to bring us together and just like hers and our furbabies they all give us that unconditional Love. ***tears flowing***Something I am working on myself!!! Wendy had a way with that, she liked to see us all get along.
Her laugh was so contagious and you just felt like a kid with a kite giggling all hours of the night, with a flashlight underthe covers. She would slow things down and make sure to spend time with you. There’s no rush, I have no where to go……but I guess she did. God Bless you my bestest furend. I love you and miss you.
Wendy was I think in every group and the best and most helpful Admin I have ever had. I could always count on her. I prayer for her soul and her family

When Cleopatra and I got married on Feb. 22, 2008, we had joined the C&D Cruiseline group to take a Honeymoon Cruise. Spy’s mom, Wendy, made very beautiful pictures of us on the cruise and of our dog sibs who work on the cruise ship. She was such a talented and beautiful lady and it is hard to understand that she is gone. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with her husband, her daughter-Nikki, and to Spy, Liz and LaLa.
I never had the chance to talk to Wendy. Just looking at her photo you can tell she was a very
sweet person. My prayers and deepest condelonces go out to Wendy’s family.

We are so heartsad at the loss of this sweet lady. She was a special human being, and she was so kind and considerate and so loving to both humans and our four legged family members. She was so happy when we adopted she found out about Cassie and Hunter, they had a special place in her heart because they are both rescue pups.

Wendy was an amazing person. She provided not only fun and laughter, but comfort and support to those in need. She made such a significant contribution to the dogster community and she had a positive impact to any group she participated in. We will miss her enthusiasm for life, advocacy for animals and love for her pets. And most of all, we will miss her friendship.

I met Wendy, Spy and family a couple years ago in Berkeley at a meetup. She was so kind and giving. I regret that I lost touch with her. I lost out on a friendship with a wonderful person.

We had just met this beautiful sole. We didn’t know that she was sick and when we came on dogster and read that she had passed. Our heart fell. So hard to believe and we wonder why?? Why , when she was so young and so full of life.

I remember meeting Spy shortly after we came to Dogster and always thought his Mom was one of the kindest and most caring people. It was obvious how much she cared about everyone and always wanted to help others. She will be greatly missed here but NEVER forgotten.

Tank and Family
Spy & Wendy were one of my first pals on Dogster. Then Wendy injured her knee at about the same time I injured my first knee. We spoke regularly on Dogster then exchanged e-mail addresses.
Sometimes we spoke several times a week, sometimes once a week or less. No matter how often we spoke she always had a kind word to say and sage advice to give. As the months went on we grew closer. Her last e-mail was sent to me only a couple days before her death, sadly I DID NOT answer it before she passed. It is a perfect example of what they says “tomorrow is not promised to anyone”. Who would know that I WOULD NOT have “tomorrow” to answer Wendy.
I am going to miss her terribly and will always hold a special place in my heart for memories of her.

Wendy..What can I say..Just starting to type I start to cry..
She befriended me first..somehow I can’t quite recall she pmailed me about how cute she thought Spinner was..and we began to pmail each other very often.. & talk on the phone 2-3 times every week..
She then asked me to let her make Spinner an Administrator at C & D..It had kinda slowed down & she so wanted it to make a comeback..She loved that group for Cats & Dogs she said..
She said I’ll send Spinner to Captain’s school Sept. 1-30th..But to be fair to Cats..She asked me to let’s make King Suede a Captain too!..The first Cat Captain..
So we sent both Spinner & King Suede to Captain’s School & they graduated Sept. 30th! and she gave them a celebration..
When Spy & Nat got married she asked Spinner to be his Best man & he was because his best buddy Thumper was the minister…I was so proud Spinner was Spy’s best man..
Then Spinner married Liz & Cowboy on horseback..That was alot of fun too..And the cookouts Spy & Nat had at their ranch meant so much to Wendy..but to us too..So much fun..such a great host..
She was just a special, special lady..I still am in shock..I just can’t seem to get straight..I just cry..& cry..until my head pounds..Sorry Wendy..I can’t believe it..I fear not helping Thumper enough with C & D..I can’t replace you Wendy for Thumper & Susan..I’ll try but ..I’ll type more later..Lou/Spinner
