I bought some at garage sales cheap & donated to my vets doggy hospital last year. Next time I will donate them to the Humane Society locally. (I hadn't thought of it before..duh) I will be "shopping" for blankets/comforters this summer at garage/yard sales for these needy animals. They need all the help they can get. This is fantastic!

She accepts donated fabric but only uses new blankets, fleece, or mattress pads to fill them. Our shelter sends the blanket home with the adopting family so the pet has something familiar in a new environment. Mom only hopes that it helps the furry friends have a more comfortable transition. She jokingly says she does it because none of the animals have complained that it doesn't fit or is the wrong color!
