Watch for tracks in the snow or mud leading to occupied dog houses—if you don’t see footprints, the dog is not being fed or watered. Call the authorities.

Awesome tip! In my neighborhood, nearly everyone has multiple, outdoor, free-roaming dogs. In Texas of course it never snows and dosen’t rain often so thats a little hard, but great tip all the same!
