Help Bring Edgar Home

In Brooklyn Center, MN Edgar was stolen out of his home nearly a month ago. On October 23rd Meaghan Poe came home from work, discovering she had accidentally left the back door unlocked.
Thieves had made off with a variety of items, including her best friend Edgar, a Miniature Dachshund. His dog bowl, food, and kennel were also missing indicating that he did not just take off.
“He’s by my side, he is a mama’s boy, wherever I go he goes kinda thing,” Dop explained with a sheepish smile. “He’s always at my feet, wanting to be picked up.”
That description explains why Dop’s life has been empty for nearly a month, since the day Edgar was stolen by burglars.
“Every day it gets a little bit harder just because we’re coming up on four weeks now that he’s been gone,” she said, “but I’m not going to give up hope on getting him back.”
There is a reward for information that leads to the return of Edgar, contact Meaghan Dop at devilbunny6000@yahoo.com.

Let’s bring Edgar home! I’m just stunned that someone would take a persons dog in addition to breaking into their house. The more expsoure that’s out there about Edgar hopefully the person that took him will find it in their heart to return him to his mom.
Talk about adding insult to injury! The nerve! I hope the thief gets caught and put in prison! Bear and I are just appalled that anyone one would steal a dog.
I wonder if the thief isn’t someone who knows Meaghan Poe and perhaps has some beef against her to want to hurt her in this way. I would be heartbroken if any of my dogs were stolen. Material goods can be replaced but not the love of a dog. I hope and pray for Edgar and his mama they find him and bring him home again.
Our hearts break for you and Edgar. He must be missing you so much. I do hope he will find his way back to you and soon!
have you tried searching for someone selling his breed on line?
I hate to say this but there is also a black market for purebred dogs in the puppy mill trade. When they get rid of a dog, or it dies, it’s usually not very old. They still have papers so a dog that matches the papers…well a stolen healthy dog to replace a “champion” or for use in a c
“championship” line. Many of those dogs with champion “lines” did indeed have ancestors with an earned title. Many pups bought with papers that claim lines, may not.
Let me make this PLAIN, I am NOT talking about responsible breeders/show people. Unfortunately I see many dogs stolen, had one of my own(got her back)stolen.
Try checking local breeders to to see if anyone has offered them a dog matching your dog’s breed.
DON’T GIVE UP!!! How big is your town??? If you live in a small town keep pounding the pavement. Let your heart call out. Even my husband told me he thought we’d never see Wings again. Despite all the doubts from all around me, Wings came home.
DON’T GIVE UP!!!
P.S. I called to her “from my heart” quite a number of times a day. When she came home, I walked right by the sliding glass doors, where she was standing. It was one of those “wait a second, what did I just see? did I imagine it?” minutes. I had seen her there so many times in my minds eye that it took a second to realize it was really her. That’s what i mean about calling him from your heart.
How sad! Someone not only stole that poor baby but had the nerve to steal his things too. It kind of makes me think it may be someone who new the family. How many people would take the time to locate a food dish ect?
Oh, this is just too sad! How could anyone do this? I am praying so hard that Edgar is returned to you safe and sound. I will also post a link of this on my blog… one never knows, right? I live in Wisconsin only a state away from you.
My heart and prayers are with you Meghan and Edgar.
Frankie’s Mom,
Barbara
I also had a dog stolen from my yard coldest day of the year……I did get her back ….believe…..
I will put Edgars picture on my pet alter and PRAY for his safe return.
And, I forgot…check out “Pet Detective” on the internet. You can search for found dogs and list your lost or stolen dog. They also have templates for posters you can print up. They really do have success stories and it is free.
here is the link, but boy does this site look different than when I last used it. Can’t swear it’s the same one.
