Greatest American Dog-Wk 4 Recap
Greatest American Dog moved to the Wednesday night time slot and the outcome was a bit controversial.
The dog bone challenge seemed easy enough last night. The owners had to predict if their fuzzy partner would take or leave an item placed on a plate six feet in front of them. This included steaks, sticks and tofu. In the end JD and Galaxy won and Travis and Presley sent to the dog house.
But the excitement in the show didn’t really start until the main event of last night’s show, centering around a one hour photo shoot with a professional animal photographer. The kink in the tail with this challenge was that each contestant had to select a word from a hat (i.e. love, curious, lazy, angry, etc.) that they had to have their prized pet capture on film.
There were some truly clever ideas. My favorite was Andrew peering through the telescope out at the world/universe, however it was Galaxy who won best in show for his portrayal of the word sneaky.
So the show came down to the worst three: Ron and Tillman exhibiting lazy, Brandy and Beacon showing love and Teresa and Leroy displaying the toughest word of the night, angry.
First the Tillman photo. Sure Ron was lazy and didn’t put any thought into his photo shoot, but if there was ever a dog made for the word lazy, it’s Tillman. I thought the picture was adorable and captured the word nicely, but then again I’m pretty lazy myself. The judge’s comment that this was the worst picture of a bulldog ever was totally unwarranted.
Brandy and Beacon had the word love, and I gotta be honest, the picture she chose wasn’t very good. It was Beacon sitting, looking up. If it was the word begging, it may have worked. If it were the words sit or stay it would have worked. But this picture for the word love? Not so much.
Leroy’s picture of an angry dog was marvelous, however let’s talk about the way in which it was obtained. Teresa, his owner, put snarl bands (i.e. a rubber band thingy) around his upper snout to make him look like he was growling. He did not appreciate having this done to him as evidenced by his reaction. This, coupled with the fact Teresa just annoyed the heck out of him throughout the shoot to get him to be angry made it difficult to watch. She did, however, get a great picture out of it.
So who should go? I thought Teresa and Leroy should go. The question I asked myself was, “Does the end justify the means?” In my book the answer is no. In the judges book the answer appears to be yes.
Since the judges were going strictly on the outcome of the pictures then surely Brandy and Beacon would be judged off, right? Not so, they chose Ron and Tillman to take the last lap! Granted, Tillman wasn’t very good at any of the events but he was a blast to watch. I’m certainly going to miss seeing him and his down to earth owner.
I think this was a mistake, but hey I’m just a dog loving blogger. Let’s just hope next week they’re going to let one of the annoying people hit the road. You all know who they are!
Note to the producers of the show: I want to see more dog. Outside of Tillman farting in the pool, was there any non-human action caught on camera? Get in there and re-edit the footage. Bag the human stuff and add the dog stuff. While I’m ranting…we don’t need a ten minute intro recapping everything that happened the previous week.
That said, I’ll still be back next Wednesday to watch more.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. BRANDY & BEACON SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONES TO LEAVE, IF THEY WERE REALLY JUDGING WHETHER THE PICTURE CONVEYED THE WORD AS THEY SAID THEY WERE. I LOVE BEACON BUT REALLY CAN’T STAND BRANDY. SHE IS A SELF-CENTERED WITCH. HOPEFULLY SHE WILL BE GONE NEXT WEEK. RON AND TILLMAN WERE GREAT AND I BELIEVE EVERYONE WHO WATCHED THE SHOW WAS ROOTING FOR THEM. WHEN TILLMAN WAS IN THE POOL, I ALMOST FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR LAUGHING. I FELT BAD FOR TERESA AND LEROY. I DON’T REALLY LIKE HER EITHER BUT LEROY IS A GREAT DOG. I DON’T THINK THE WORD “ANGRY” SHOULD HAVE EVEN BEEN ONE OF THE CHOICES. ANYONE ELSE WHO GOT THAT WORD WOULD ALSO HAVE HAD TO DO SOMETHING UNAPPEALING TO GET THEIR DOG TO CONVEY THAT EMOTION. NOT A GOOD CHOICE TO EVEN USE THAT WORD. AND I AGREE THEY SHOULD SHOW MORE OF THE DOGS AND LESS OF THE PEOPLE. WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE MORE FOOTAGE OF TILLMAN ON THE SKATEBOARD.
I cried when Ron and Tillman got chosen to leave. I really did. I thought it was the most stupid desicion ever.
Teresa and Leroy should have left.Teresa just get’s mad so easy, she’s very short tempered. She even cussed at her dog for biting her, but come on, if someone was blowling stuff in my face, I’d bit them to! Plus, I’m sure it was on accident. I agree that Brandy is a ditz and needed to go, but It really should have been Teresa and Leroy.
I think Tillman’s picture was good, and the judge with Lucky was just being a brat to everyone.
And of course GD’s was going to be the best. I mean come on, he used ALL THAT stuff, and Galaxy, his robot dog, will do anything his creator asked him to do.
I don’t think Tillman should have left. I thought the picture was quite cute, and I don’t agree with the judging of Tillman’s photo.
Beacon’s photo in my opinion really didn’t show the meaning of “love”. I can see it showing begging or loyalty.
For Leroy, I was just very sad on how Teresa treated him just to get a perfect picture shot. I agree it is very inhumane.
I think we get caught up in the personalities of the people rather than the dogs. I’m a fan of all the dogs there. Did you notice that Tillman had to have a life jacket on? Bulldogs are not built to swim. Even Ron remarked that swimming wasn’t usually something that bulldogs do. As far as bulldogs go, Tillman is one of the best groomed bulldogs that I have seen. Love the skateboarding.
Speaking for myself and many of my friends we are now done watching this show . After taking Tillman off there is no show.
I agree Tillman shouldn’t have been removed. He is a very talented and well mannered bulldog.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they let the general public have a voice in the votes too.
Tillman will be missed. I think there are other dogs that should have been dismissed before Tillman.
I was pissed that they let Tillman go. He the coolest dog I’ve ever seen and I’ve had close to 50 over my lifetime. He has a wonderful personality. I’m not very fond of the judges. They judge “show style” in my opinion and these are not show dogs, these are people dogs.
Tillman was adorable. He was all personality!! Brandy and Beacon should have been gone. Who cries to the photographer?! What a baby!!
Tillmans the reason I started watching the show. He is just GREAT, there is so much personality to him. The picture was a Lazy Bulldog and thats what it was to be. I agree Beacons did not show much of anything the dogs could have been doing so many things. The ways Teresa got Leroy to snarl was so wrong she was being cruel to her dog. I was rather surprised that Victoria didn’t lay into her more than she did.I feel by letting Tillman go they have missed the best of him with the skateboarding and all.Sorry Tillman your a geart boy.
Of all the words for Tillman to end up with “lazy”. Perhaps if anothr pose had been choosen, he might not have been sent home.
I realy like Leroy, to bad she had to resort to treating him that way.
The photo of Galazy was good, and it was very well planned out.
I always get a kick out of the reactions of the dogs on certain scenes we see on the show.
Those dogs have that look of wanting to get their masters’ approval, such darling faces.
I was VERY upset that Ron & Tillman left!! They were my favorite. They have a awesome owner/pet relationship. That is one of the things that should be conveyed on the show more. I will still watch because we also love Travis & Presley and Bill & Star. But, the show will not be the same. I agree that the public should vote, not judges. PLEASE get rid of Brandy & Beacon. How annoying & self centered she is.
I agree that Ron and Tillman should not have been the ones to go just like everyone else but, I want to say that there are still great dogs left to watch. I think for someone to say they won’t watch anymore because Tillman was the show is a bit unfair to the rest of the dogs. Good luck Bill and Star I’m cheering for the two of you!
I like the show….but don’t think to much of the judges. They need Cesar (Dog Whisper) as a Judge……..Now that would be A Show with A True / LOYAL DOG LOVER.
I think that Ron and Tillman are America’s Favorite………….Gotta Love Tillman……Tillma is Just an Awesome DOG…You can not help but Fall in Love with the Pair………they just make you smile…..Like Owner Like DOG

I cried and yelled when they let Ron and Tillman go, Not Fair…….. They should have let Brandy go…..she is a Witch I feel sorry for her DOG having to live with her….Poor Dog…
I totally think Brandy and Beacon should have gone home too. Purely on principle. The way that girl acts is SO immature, whiny and annoying. I can’t believe she actually had the nerve to tell Preston, “Cant we focus on ME here?” Who DOES that? I can’t wait for her and Beacon to get shipped out. I feel badly for Beacon though that his owner is so rude, whiny, and annoying.
I am SO sad to see Tillman go home. The show is going to be LESS funny now, that’s guaranteed. Tillman was pure comedy, 24/7!!
I think Tillman leaving was a very bad decision on the judges part…. they have a great bond together and were very entertaining……
I have a border collie and they are truly a sensitive and very loyal and loving breed that need SPECIAL UNDERSTANDING… the use of the bands was horrible.. I could see it in Leroy’s eyes… which is where you look to truly understand your Border Collie… they should have gone home… NOT TILLMAN… what a shame !!! DOES ANYONE ELSE AGREE ????
I think Teresa & Leroy should have been the ones to go. I thought what she did to that poor dog was despicable.. I loved Tillman. He was the coolest dog. He will be missed. He was my favorite along with Elvis. I hope that they get Brandy and Beacon off next. I can’t stand her wining.
We are so disappointed about Ron and Tillman, but even more sad to see that the judges would condone inhumane treatment of Leroy. Without a doubt Teresa should have been sent home.

I may stop watching the show after watching the judges get rid of their star player, poised as his languid self. The photographer could have taken faster pictures, picked up her pace, but what do I know?
The judges held Ron’s lackadaisical attitude as a reason to get rid of him. And, they wanted to see Tillman on his back, legs up in the air. I’ve seen such pictures, elsewhere. I would have liked to have seen Tillman on his back, legs up in the air, too, but to capture that maneuver, one would need a spirited photographer.
I think Ron’s dog epitomized a “lazy” day, and, bar the black and white background, it worked.

I knew that this show would be a fiasco, when I saw that Victoria dame. She had it in for Tilman from the beginning. He should have won this thing hands down, not been removed. Thanks though, now I can get away from the tv. There is no reason to watch this show anymore.
We think the wrong human was voted off - it wasn’t Tillman’s fault that his human didn’t know how to stage a photo shoot. But abusing and stressing a dog to get a angry look was absolute incorrect. How could anyone do that.

I totally agree that Ron and Tillman are the best! I watched the show just to see what Tillman would do next. The judges are just so wrong. Is it Ok to wrap a rubber band around your dogs mouth, Come on. I loved the picture of Tillman , I say lets get new judges if they can’t do better than this. BRING TILLMAN BACK!
The show is hardly worth watching now with Ron & Tillman gone. I agree with the others “BRING TILLMAN BACK”!!!
THE JUDGES ONLY SEEM TO CARE ABOUT CONTROL. RON COUNTED ON TILMAN’S NATURAL LAID-BACK PERSONALITY TO WIN THE DAY AND TILMAN DIDN’T LET HIM DOWN. HOW CAN YOU LET A WOMAN THAT IS CONSTANTLY POSED WITH A DOG AS A PROP AND A CONTROL FREAK LIKE VICTORIA STIOWELL BE JUDGES. THEY LET THE CHEATER WITH THE RUBBERBAND AND BRANDY AND BEACON WHO DID NOTHING ,STAY AND SENT THE STAR OF THE SHOW HOME. I WON’T BE WATCHING ANYMORE.
I agree that the show will be much less entertaining without Ron & Tillman. I also think that anger was a poor choice for a photo. I will still watch & I am pulling for Bill & Star. They seem like a good team & you can tell they are crazy about each other.
I think the fact Ron and Tillman were cut last night is ridiculous!!! Beacon or the lady who put rubber bands on her dogs mouth should have been given the boot….i was very shocked to say the least!!! makes me wonder what this show is really about and if it is rigged somehow…because clearly Tillman is a very talented dog and everyone loved Ron…..putting a rubber band on her dog’s snout should be cause for immediate disqualification!!!!!
I think Brandy and Beacon dont have much to do in the competition anyway. You can see how Teresa was truly ashamed of herself and she made a very common mistake most humans do, they push too hard to win without thinking in the consequences. I hope she learned a lesson.
Tillman is a super cute dog but I have to say Ron wasnt been very active guiding his dog.

I think the show should be ashamed for picking the word angry. Dog lovers hate seeing angry dogs and why on earth would anyone want to try to make their dog angry? Anthing done to try to purposely make a dog angry is going to be some kind of bad.
I agree that the use of the bands was horrible; but shame on whoever picked the word “angry” to be put in the mix at all.
I agree with the people who say that the wrong ones were sent home. The one who abused her dog got to stay on the show, and the one whose dog is as lazy as dogs can get, got sent home because the judges didn’t like the photo oif him doing lazy. Tillman is the most fun dog on there and I don’t think Ron would ever abuse Tillman.
This needs to be rejudged and the right ones put off.
I am so upset that Tillman was voted. It should have been Beacon & Brandy. I am not sure I can watch the show anymore. I do like Bill and Star but I LOVED Ron & Tillman.

Honestly, early in the show she antagonized him to be “angry”, and then when he ended up biting her hand, she called him names and acted like he didn’t appreciate her.
I agree that “angry” shouldn’t have been a word choice, because the only way to get it on film was to do something to agitate them. How confusing for the dog. A more appropriate word would have “sour” or “ookey”, which would have been easier to convey without being mean. Clearly, Leroy had zero fun…let’s see, spray me in the face, pick at my feet, tie my snoot in a rubber band. Sounds like a real hoot.
Anyway, I have always thought Teresa is very short tempered with Leroy. And I don’t like how she yells at him to “shut up” and calls him names.
I’m not a dog person, really into cats but started watching this show when I saw the first with Ron and Tillman. I was so very impressed with the bond Ron had with his dog and I loved watching Tillman…just made me smile! I am so disappointed by the judges decision, it seemed obvious that anyone who would treat their pet the way theresa did ….all about winning but that is too much! I lost interest with the departure of Ron and Tillman…great dog!!
Tillman was great, but we still have Bill and Starr. He’s compassionate about his dog in the house, and in competition he’s straight and to the point with Starr. He doesn’t have that whiney and excited voice that the women have.
Would be tough to not try everything to get the picture asked of you for the show. Not an excuse to use the bands but hard to get too angry with the owner when the show is asking for angry. I think the judges and producer who put angry in should be kicked off the show. Also, a poor challenge to be used as the platform for sending someone home. As can be seen by comments everyone’s taste differs on the effectiveness of the pictures to pertray the emotion. How is sitting there looking up more love than laying down with your eyes closed less lazy?

I was sad when Tillman had to go, he was so cool. As for Teresa and Leroy, well I did not like any of her training methods. Honestly whether it was snarl bands or grapefruit juice mixed with water being sprayed in Poor Leroys face, both are in-humane. Angry is a hard word but there are ways to acomplish it, I have a dog who does it with out drastic measures. I truly feel sorry for Leroy.
I didn’t know the show had moved to Wednesday nights, and I missed it. I am very disappointed. I do not like the fact that Tillman and Ron got let go. Putting props on a dog and aggravating them is totally wrong.
Ron and Tillman should have never been sent home! Bring Tilman back!

My friends and I have made the decision to stop watching the show now that Tilmans gone.
I will continue to check the website to see if they bring Tilman back so I can watch the show again.
I think Teresa and Leroy should have been kicked off because of the methods she used. Spraying him in the face with grape fruit water and putting the Snarl band on him are very in-humane. I do not tolerate people who are cruel to any kind of animal.
I hope they bring Tillman back to the show. I have a feeling if enough veiwers complain they may bring him back.

I am very disappointed in the choice of Ron and Tillman. First, I have had bulldog brothers and that’s how they are. Except, I could probably top Tillman in the burping category.
My daddy is a professional photographer of humans and pets. He liked Tillman’s photo. It was natural. What I am trying to figure out - the show was about personality but they did not have the ability to show theirs. They had to mimic words. I agree angry was a bad word, but Teresa was wrong and she uses crappy training methods. My Mommy and Daddy have had nine dogs in their marriage (6 deceased of natural causes) and they know you don’t train like that.
There is one point I would like to bring up. Let’s hear it for Bill and Star. They have the best bond and even though he was afraid, he conquered gently. And, I am so glad he had a positive experience. He loves Star as much as Mom and Dad love me, the beagle babes (my sisters) and my deceased brothers and sisters.

I did not like the judge’s decision with last nights show. Putting a rubber band thingy around any dog is “wrong”!! Kathy and Leroy should have been out. This is two weeks in a row that the judge’s have made a bad decision.
I too will really miss Ron and Tillman. Like Elvis last week Ron and Tillman got a raw deal.
I was very disapointed that Tillman was let go!!! I personally have a English Bulldog and they are called the “lazy man dog”…I guess the judges know nothing about bulldogs. Wrong choice judges, you may know something about show dogs but you know nothing about real people dogs! Tillman you are one of the most awesome dogs I have ever seen!
I do not think Tillman should have been let go. He was the highlight of the show and I am not sure I will watch any more. The judges are totally off - using any props, especially inhumane ones (you know who I am talking about) should have been immediate grounds for being “expelled.” Tillman - you are the cutest. They need to get Judges that are more in tune with what is going on. Also, they never should have chosen “angry” as a theme for a picture. Why would you want to make a dog angryl Cesar - where are you!!! You should be a judge.
I think Brandy should have gone home. In no way do I consider her picture of Beacon a portrayal of loving; obedient, maybe regal, but not loving.
Anger should never have been an option. Bad on the producers. Theresa did use some extreme measures to get this, and calling her dog a name for biting at the blower nozzle and hitting her was wrong, but think of the pressure people. The band idea was given to her by another contestant and is an accepted practice in TV and movies. I think she needed to take a break in the shoot before she used them to calm herself and Leroy down, but again think of the pressure involved in a one hour time shoot, and you know she waited until the last minute to use the band.
I really hope Brandy is out SOON!
The whole reason we started watching the show was because they had included an English Bull Dog. Having one for a “grand puppy” we were amazed at how misunderstood they really are. And the judges decisions is just more proof of this theory. I agree with everyone they have made a big mistake by sending him home. The Bull Dog has an amazing history all their own, they are quite unique. Very seldom are they included in competition with other dogs where they get the chance to compete on these levels and I feel that blaming Tillman for “being himself” was quite unfair. And than to give credit to the owner who had to misuse her dog to get him to do what she wanted by not voting them off - that’s the same as applauding cruelty to animals. Get a life judges, Ron not only did what you asked but he knew Tillman well enough not to risk doing something that could harm his dog. If you are so up on Dogs you would have understood that what Ron said about Tillman was true and right on. May I suggest that you get a book on Bull Dogs and read up. Kudo’s to Ron, keep up the good work , Rock on Tillman!
I really am disappointed how the judges voted to remove tillman,,,,if they saw how the dog leroy was treated by its owner and still voted off tillman not sure if i have the interest in watching it,,,my respect for these judges have reached an ultimate low,,,and if they condone a dog being treated the way leroy again on this show it wont be turned on again in our house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i missed it but from wat i heard it should have been brandy and beacon they just never cooperate and always give crap to the judges. did beth joy do well she actually wasn’t in the bot. 3?it shouldnt of been ron tillman tillman is just so taleneted skateboarding and stuff

I too will not be watching the remainder of the show. They took one of the most interesting and lovable dog/owner pairs and let them go. Rewarding someone who abuses an animal to promote their own agenda is disgusting. Shame on that woman and shame on the judges! Tillman, you are the true star!
I can’t believe that Tillman and Ron are gone either. They made such a stink about the snarl bands but, then left them on the show. I feel sorry for some of the dogs, with owners that will do anything to win. I’m hoping that Bill and Star win, they both seem to love each other and have respect.
My husband and I were in absolute shock!!!! When Ron and Tillman ended up in the bottom 3 for the “lazy pic”, we both just knew that it was a BIG MISTAKE! But then it became worse. They voted Ron and Tillman off. Have these judges absolutely lost their minds??? Tillman was the reason we watched the show.
Either of the other 2 dogs could have and should have easily been voted off…..but not Tillman! Tillman rides a skateboard for goodness sake….I’d like to see either of the other 2 dogs do that little trick.

Well, my husband was right!! This show is a waste of time but I,m drawn to it because of the dogs, I love dogs, I,ve always had dogs in my life from the time I was a little girl and I will always have a dog in my life. But I am aggrevated of how the show is mainly focusing on the owners and not so much on the dogs!! The only really good coverage of the dogs has been on Tillman which is understandable, he,s naturally funny without even working at it and Ron does fit right in there with him!!! I feel sorry for Bill and star cause now they wont have Ron and Tillman around to hang out with.
Tillman,s picture was perfect, it caught not only how lazy he was being but it also caught the natural personality of a bulldog!! Why did he have to pose and hold his head up for pictures when there was a back of chair (that he was sitting in)to hold his head up for him? IT WAS PERFECT AND REAL, a natural setting!!! I LOVED IT!!!! The judges totally missed that one and 2 of them are big time magazine editors!! HMMMMM, what does that tell you?? Maybe they really are just for show and little too pretentious for all us regular real american dog owners!!!! After all Hollywood is full of dreams and makebelieve so it,s not going to surprise me if one of the drama queens and her dog wins or even selfish Mr. me first with the overly competitive attitude that owns Galaxy !!! My 3 favorites have been Presley first, Tillman and then star. I,m a loyal boxer fan and owner of some awesome boxers so I am a bit partial but i,m now rooting for Bill and star since the show is mainly focusing on owners more so!! Ron and Bill both are awesome with thier dogs of how they talk to them and how they talk about them!! They know their dogs are dogs and they know thier limits of being a dog and how dogs act whether it,s farting, rolling in something, sniffing something or just being a dog that enjoys life with it,s owner. That,s what it,s about, both just being themselves and comfortable and straight forward about it all while getting along with others!!!

I think Ron and Tillman really got booted out because of Ron explaining why he did,nt put Tillman on his back for any poses due to he could,nt breathe on his back very well and he innocently compared Tillman,s hard to breathe snorting noises to windy,s laughing!!!!!! Priceless, I loved it!!! but I honestly feel thats why which is sad and shallow on the judges part!!!!
I’m glad to read so many posts from people agreeing that Ron & Tillman should not have been the ones to go. I know everyone will have a personal favorite breed of dog, but the Bulldog & Jack Russell have been my favs, and now they’re both gone. It makes me want to stop watching. If the Texan gets kicked off (he’s so sweet) I’m done with it. I could care less about all those crazy and annoying personalities of several there. I liked Ron because he seemed like a normal dog owner! AND Tillman just rocked. I hope they are reading their fan mail here. “Skate hard” was right.
If you want ratings, how do you boot off the show’s star? I laughed out loud at Tillman’s antics. And I thought the photo epitomized lazy - he was too lazy to even hold his head up!
Sad to see Tillman go - someone should give him a show of his own!
I still like Bill and Star and Travis and Presley. If the network decides to do this show again n the future I hope they read the comments here first and get different judges, the ones they have now suck. I think plain ordinary people/dog owners should judge. I also agree with the people who said “angry” should not have been one of the choices, very stupid on the producers part. I am truly surpirsed that anyone involved with dogs would choose the word “angry”. All good dog owners and trainers know that this is not something you want your dog to show. There had to have been other words. I am sorry to see Ron and Tillman leave. They were great. Now I am rooting for Bill and Star.
WE HAVE ALL HAD OUR SAY AND SEEM TO BE OF THE SAME MIND. NOTHING WE CAN SAY WILL MEAN ANYTHING TO THOSE JUDGES. THEY THINK THEY ARE EXPERTS AND WE ARE ALL IDIOTS. TILLMAN SAID IT ALL AS HE MADE HIS DEPARTURE.
I am sooooo upset that Ron and Tillman are out. The wrong ones were sent home for sure. I don’t know what the show is going to be like without them. I will still tune in being the dog lover that I am but Ron and Tillman were the comic relief of the show and you could also see their true relationship, they were perfect for each other. I wish Ron and Tillman all the best!
They voted off the wrong team. :(Tillman you rock Bully. I felt terrible for Leroy, what a poor choice of “emotions”and method to use by his person,. We miss Elvis too.
I do not agree at all with the judges this week. Tillman was the most entertaining dog on the show. Yes, the picture could have been better, but that was not his fault. He did not cheat by using anything to make him look lazy, so he should have stayed! I bet the show loses some people who enjoyed Tillman!
The Main Challenge wasn’t on equal footing. The Challenge was a Photo Shoot where the owners were given a word to convey during the Shoot. Some of the words were difficult, no doubt- “suspicious” and “mischievous”. We will miss Ron and Tillman. Whether or not it was their week to go home remains open to debate. Teresa and Leroy had drawn the worst word of all- “angry.” In fact, as an owner, had I drawn the word, I’m not sure I wouldn’t have refused the shoot. Would I have subjected Daisy to an hour of angry behavior at my hands? No. I’m fairly certain I would have rather gone home than for her to think that I would harm her. I’m disappointed in the producers for placing the word in with other words such as “regal” and “love.” I’m disappointed in Laura for suggesting the use of the snarl bands to Teresa. I’m disappointed in Teresa, not necessarily for going along with the snarl bands, but for agreeing to go along with the word to begin with. Anger and animals should never be in the same sentence together. Even mine.

Our friend Tillman, what a shame, we loved watching him, he was so funny and down to earth. Using the snarl bands, should have eliminated Teresa and Leroy. Brandy’s choice for love was horrible, you could get that shot with any dog, and white background with a white dog. BRING TILLMAN BACK,,,,,SAY YOU MADE A MISTAKE!!!
I was sooooooooooo upset that Tillman got put off the show, I love tillman, he’s such a sweet dog.. I think you don’t deserve to leave, and YES i agree it should have been becken not tillman.
If you want to keep this show on the air you have to get rid of all three judges. They speak in a very arrogant, condecending and rude way. They may be very knowledgeable about dogs but that is not the impression they give. Maybe Bill Cosby who owns champion dogs? Or Cesar Milan who might not be available but please think of likable people. You had a real winner with this show and I am afraid it will not survive the season because of poor judges. Tillman’s leaving broke all hopes for the show survival. You still have time, DO SOMETHING AND SAVE THE SHOW! ! ! ! ! !
I agree with daisysmom, it is too bad that Laura recommended the snarl bands. Teresa cleary regretted the deceision but just did not know any better. She would never intentionally hurt her dog. All in all it was pretty unfair for Teresa and Leroy to have the word ANGRY compared to the other words that everyone elses had. How are you supposed make your dog loook angry unless he is angry? I think people should cut Teresa a little slack this week she was definatley upset that she took Laura’s advice. It is sad to see Tillman go, Brandi and Beacon should have been sent packing.
Did you guys go to Victoria Stilwell’s website? Go to her forums and she wrote an explanation behind what happened and why Ron and Tilman were let go.

CBS Producers totally blew it letting those judges oust Tillman. They’ve been advertising a bulldog riding a skateboard and we never got to see it in the competition!We were so mad that they let Ron and Tillman go. THAT’S THE ONLY REASON WE WATCHED THE SHOW. I think we’re done watching it. Don’t know if we think Ron and Tillman would have won, but this was WAY too early to vote him off. What on earth were those “judges” thinking????
About Tillman . . . Even though I live in the nation of the Georgia Bulldogs, I have just never been able to see why English Bulldogs are so popular. Well, Tillman turned me around on that one! He was just so much fun to watch! Like everyone else here, I was astounded and really really annoyed that he was voted off by the judges. (I’ll bet the show’s cameramen miss him too.)
But we may not be getting the real picture. Remember that the show’s producers are not dog people so much as they are TV people. For some reason, all of the shows on TV seem to reflect the thinking that viewers are more interested in seeing young women in low cut clothes than in anything else that the show may be about. So if you continue to watch, be prepared for the Tonya Harding look-alike (and act-alike) to last well into the show’s season. Sad, but probably true.
As for me, I will continue to watch, in spite of the fact that two of the most interesting dogs are now gone. I was enjoying watching Elvis as he was truly learning to enjoy himself with the other dogs, and of course, Tillman was just plain fun. I’m pulling for Bill and Star, so I will last at least as long as they do.
Tillman shouldn’t have been removed. He is a very talented and well mannered bulldog.
It would be nice if the public got to vote on who leaves also. I think the women judges are too cruel. One woman thinks she loves the picture and the other woman totally disagrees. It chaos. I think the one woman judge that said a dog should not wear clothes is a cruel judge. I always dread what she is going to say next. I just cant help it thats the way i feel. They need more than 3 judges since the public cannot decide on a decision. I think the Tillman picture was a great picture of lazy. Way to go Tillman.

I am STILL in shock and so very sad that they got rid of Tillman! He was the star of the show to me. I’m sure I will miss a few cute moments, but I honestly don’t think I’ll be watching the show anymore.

I loved Ron and Tillman. I thought that Ron captured Tillman and his personality. I thought Leroy’s mom ( not Leroy) should have been kicked out of the dog house. His mom and those snarl bands made me wince

Personally, I hated to see Elvis or Tillman go when without a doubt, Andrew should have been ousted instead of Elvis when his owner tore the hoop to give him an advantage and ratted out Elvis for “biting a few dogs.” Maybe I didn’t see it but I only saw Elvis have a little tiff with Tillman. Anyway, I am all the way for Travis and Presley. I have a Boxer and Presley and Travis are great together. However, if they were not to win, then I’d have to pull for Bill & Starr. They also have an awesome relationship. Go Presley!!!!

I read Victoria’s blog and even though I understand why, I am still bummed that Ron and Tillman are gone. I personally would have booted Beacon and Brandy off becuase they had the worst picture. Hands down. Although watching Travis tell Brandy off has been highly amusing….
The Therese and Leroy situation was just a train wreck whether you think it was abuse or not. I am sure she wishes that episode had never aired…
I agree with those that think the word angry should never have been used. Plus the whole photo contest was stupid. Come on! We want to see dogs compete, not owners try to come up with creative back drops for a photo… I think that the puppy games on the pet channel are more like what I thought this show was going to be. But despite myself I am drawn in and I will continue watching…
