Greatest American Dog Tonight (Yes, Tonight!)
Greatest American Dog has switched nights from Thursdays to Wednesdays but remaining in the 8ET/7CT slot. Hopefully that won’t affect your ability to view this week’s episode, number four in the series.
We’re down to nine contestants, and their relatively hairless owners. So who’s going to be taking the last lap tonight? Give me a second while I ask the dog in the sky to do all of us a favor, “Please, please have it be one of the annoying humans.”

I am very disappointed… Tillman and Rons picture was awesome I loved it I just don’t get why that caused them to be eliminated. I think it should have been Leroy, he bit his mom and she was doing things that agitated him:-/:-/
Tillman and Ron got robbed! They were the best part of the show.
Leroy should bite at his owner and she should have taken off the show-she continues to mistreat him and other dogs are sent home while she is still there-very unfair!
Ron and Tilman are the reason I watched the show, I cannot believe the judges made such a hasty decision based on the pose. Ron had Tilmans best interest in mind when his breathing would be affected by lying on his back! I am not watching the show anymore, it once was great but now I have lost interest.
I watched this program for the first time tonite and in my opinion not getting rid of the woman who used the snarl bands was a mistake. It implies that the judges are in favor of using cruel methods to achieve a photo.
So WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why the heck was Tillman and Ron voted off???? That was so WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can I say it again….WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The border collie and the schnauzer should be gone. Their owners are whack-jobs. Very disapointed in the show tonight. Would have liked a better explaination of why Tillman was voted off.

Tillman this week and Elvis last week. What’s wrong with these judges? Are they not listening to themselves as they judge? They keep this up and they’ll lose their audience.
BAD MOVE - The public loved Tillman - That is just the cutest dog ever… The shows ratings are going to drop off now… I won’t watch it anymore - my favorite dog is gone. That idiot and Bella and Beacon and her master should have been booted off weeks ago.
I hope next show - if there is one - part of the Judges panel consists of plain American Dog lovers - not the critics… and maybe jury the members still left in the house before

Judges have made their big mistake…..Tillman is why we watched the show…..we feel there was a biased unfair opinion on their part….using bands to make your dog look like he is growling….come on…or dress them up that was bad enough….how about eliminating a judge or two….??

What the heck is wrong with Leroy’s owner?! He constantly tell him to “shut up,” blames him for messing up everything, and puts rubberbands on his mouth! Are you kidding me? How does she expect him to do anything for her when she treats him like crap! I mean, she says she loves him, and most of the people on that show consider their dogs to be family, but she is the only one that just really doesn’t act like it! I am just amazed that the judges don’t see this. I mean, come on guys…

I agree that Ron and Tillman should not have been voted off. But I do think that Bill and Star should have won the photo contest. It was just Star and the leash. Would Galaxy have really passed as sneaky if she was just on the white floor like all the others? I think the scenery played more on the concept than the dog did.
I still like this show. I like watching good dogs and good owners interact. Ron and Tillman, Presley and Travis, Bill and Star are who I like to watch. But I also like to see the wack jobs get eliminated. And tonight’s wack job didn’t get eliminated!
Did anyone else catch Travis’ comment to Brandi, the schnauzer’s owner? She said “can we focus on me for a minute?” and his reply was, “sure since this might be the last time!”
I agree that sending Tillman home was a big mistake. He was adorable and added so much personality and humor to the show. The show now lacks a colorful star. Bad move judges!

Victoria Stilwell I always hate her she think she is so good and well she not I would never let near my animals she hate snarl bands and made such big deal out of then why vote poor sweet Tillman and Ron?
the photo was not greats but he was nice to his dog and Tillman for most part listen to him

I cannot imagine letting Tillman go when an abusive action took place with using the bands..what are you judges thinking.? .I love the show,,but there is something wrong with the judiging overall..They are so wishy washy in decisions from when they say what is wrong with a particular contest,,but then the final decision does not make sense ! I get too upset to watch this,,Brandy and her dog have no communication,,what is up with her staying,????

No Tillman…no show. I have no reason to watch now. I am guessing ratings will fall off the board. Horrible move by the judges. My wife and I are officially boycotting the show.
I can not believe TILLMAN was voted off!!!! What are you thinking? Bella should have been gone several weeks ago…some of the owners really need a good talking to on how to handle thier dogs. Really not sure where this show is going with some of these decisions.
Being a professional pet boarder for 30 years and observing and working with all breeds this show was interesting on many levels but your pompous judges have eliminated any reason for my interest in watching your show in the future. Ron and Tillman illustrated the perfect pairing of pet and owner. None of the remaining contestants have nearly the personality of Tillman and I am sorry the show has lost my interest.

As the owner of 5 BCs, I think it was totally unfair to give Leroy the word ANGRY and then complain about the bands! The other dogs got do-able words; he didn’t seem nearly as upset about the band as he was when they wetre squirting him with whatever they were using. When Leroy gets the boot, we won’t be watching anymore.
This is so uncool. You lost me by picking Judges with the worse taste imaginable, try picking Judges that don’t pretend to ~ but really have some insight in Dogs.
They act like they are so perfect! Put the Judges up there and watch them squirm.

Sending the bull dogTillman home, was the biggest mistake you could have ever made, he was the only one with any talent and adorable. He could actually skateboard by himself . Without Tillman I will not watch again. Is this a dog show or a people with emotional problems show? You have advertised this as the best dog show ever.I think not. It seems to be more about stupid judges that probably do not even own dogs, and stupid owners that happen to own cool dogs.
I can’t believe they let Tillman go. Who in their right mind could not love Tillman. I think these judges stink. Just like Ron said the house will miss Tillman, and he’s exactly right.
The show’s ratings will most likely drop. And the judges need to wake up, Leroy should of left the show. I, am now rooting for presley. Every man needs a Bulldog!!
I was very, very ANGRY at the decision to include the word “angry” in the photo activity. That word should have NEVER even been included in an activity such as this one. I can’t believe no one else has pointed that out!!! Theresa and Leroy were not my favorites, that’s for sure, but it was so wrong to expect anyone to get their dog to portray “angry” for a photo. I wanted to ask all three of the judges “How would you have done it if it were you and your dog?” Basically, it’s like saying to a person “you have to provoke your dog to look angry for a photo.” That is BAD BAD!! Whatever producer/judge/writer/whoever……who chose to include that word should be fired from the show.
I can see where Tillman might not be the Greatest American Dog, but there were several others that should be eliminated for those reasons the judges complain about them. They judges are only judging on what is in front of them, not the week long video that we see, which is a shame. They should be able to watch these dogs and owners in every day situations at home. I think how these dogs interract with their owners, other dogs and other people should be a BIG consideration.
That’s it - i am not watching this show anymore. Tillman’s owner cared enough about him to not put him on his back. And the other one used that band. Do the judges know that the lady’s dog bit her?! The other contestants were quick enough to let them know that Elvis bit another dog - a dog does not bite his owner for no reason!!!!!!!!!!!!! There has to be more to it that what was shown.
WE DISLIKE THE JUDGES!!!! Maybe America’s dog lovers should be the judge. We obviously know how a dog is supose to be treated. We loved Tillman.

Three Judges that are supposed to be for animal rights and against animal cruelty and yet they keep a woman who in my opinion was cruel to her dog just to win money. How against it are they not very. Eliminate a man who has his dogs best interest at heart to keep her. This show is supposed to be about the love of an animal and its owner to me no amount of money is worth putting my dog under stress like she did with her dog. Whats more important to her the money or her dogs well being. They lost a viewier tonight for that simple fact.

I have been watching this show since it started annd really enjoyed it and thought the judges were basically right on the money until tonight!!! Tillman was a perfect lazy,did you see those eyes. It seemed that dog that won the best was using too many props that really took away from the dog itself. That girl that used that band thing in its mouth should have gone home!!!!!
You may have just lost several viewers… We can’t believe Tillman just got voted off… What the heck!!!! He had the most personality…. We aren’t even bulldog fans but his personality made him so adorable… The snarl bands were a poor decsion and in bad taste, it definetely showed lack of effort on her owner and should have been voted off…

Tillman was the best part of the show. I laughed the whole time Tillman was on, he’s such a funny and talented dog. The judges need to be voted off. I will not watch the show again and I will be looking for Tillman to become a TV star. He will be back!

Tillman and Ron are the best owner/pet combo I have ever seen and Tillman is the most admired Dog I have ever watched on television or Youtube! BIG MISTAKE! I will not watch this show again!
I was shocked to see Tillman and Ron go. So, Ron thought he got an easy word to depict because his dog looks lazy 98% of the time. I agree the photo wasn’t very imaginable and I saw some other shots which would have served him better, but using elastic bands and causing anguish to your dog is totally unacceptable. They showed Leroy trying to paw it off and looking very uncomfortable. Once again, the wrong team went home. I was glad Tillman farted on his way out the door. Even if it was edited in, it was perfect. LOL!
Oh, I just saw Barb Scott’s post about the word “angry.” We must have posted about the exact same time. From my perspective, I didn’t think the bands were as horrible as including that word to begin with. The other girl who loaned them to Theresa (don’t remember her name) said she works in the film industry and uses them in films. When she said that, I was thinking “oh, so that’s how they get angry shots of dogs for movies, TV, etc.” If that is something that is used in the movie and TV industry, (and you know that any time an animal is used in a show and/or movie, they are swarmed with PETA people who scrutinize every thing) I would think it was an acceptable thing to use. (maybe not the best idea, but better than provoking your dog to snarl, growl, snap) Neither of those girls seemed to me that they would ever do anything cruel or inhumane to their dogs.
If the producers were smart, they would draw on some type of technicality, bring Tillman back and send the snarl band idiot out the door. They may have to. Advertisers will be very concerned regarding ratings. Ratings = money.
I think all the dogs had good pictures. Especially Tillman. Because that was Tillman’s personality. I will miss Tillman and Ron.
This was a great show, but obviously the judging needs to be revamped. America’s Greatest Dog is the dog that is loved and accepted, faults and all. A dog that America falls in love with! Ron and Tillman have one of the greatest relationships ever. It is obvious that Ron loves that dog unconditionally. The judges really, really blew it. They have left contestants on the show that treat their dogs like dolls or are using their dogs (and backstabbing) to get the grand prize. The dog is secondary to this person! Shame on you judges. You have lost credibility, respect and one of the greatest dogs ever!!!!!!!

I love the idea of getting some regular, average, loving dog owners to be the judges!!! great idea!!
I have to admit, I do like Ron and Tillman, HOWEVER, I would say Tillman can only do one thing. So Tillman can skateboard. Yes, it’s cute. But that’s about all he can do. Once you’ve seen it, that’s it. No big deal. Ron and Tillman are not outstanding in any other way. Cute? yes. Funny? yes. But, that’s about it. It gets old after about 5 minutes.
I did not think they should have gone home yet, by any means! But, I’m really not that impressed by them. Brandy needs to go. If for nothing else than her annoying, high-pitched voice.
Bad decision! Ron and Tillman are great and should have remained on the show. And the choice of the words “angry” and “stubborn” should not have been made. Those are not words that the owner/dog relationship speaks to. I think the judges are missing the point of this show. Also, I wish it were not about eliminating a dog at the end of each episode. Why couldn’t they just choose the winning dog for each episode?
I hope Ron and Tillman see all these comments. They will definitely be missed.
I have watched each episode aired and I am upset about the call made for Ron and Tillman to depart.
Instead of leaving capital letters and exclamation points I will propose an Idea for the show to win back our love….
Pitch a show just for Ron and Tillman with their choices of guests, animals and owners alike. Give them their own show with a multi -million dollar deal.
I guarantee that show would get more viewers and ratings that this Dog show came close to getting.

What is the matter whit these judges? And I agree with the rest of the people. Tillman was the reason why I watched the show. Today Leroy because of his owner should be sent home! I have been telling my friends to watch the show , but, the judges s…k. Something is totally wrong with these people. I only hope they can read how we feel, so they can get their act together!
I agree with the rest..tillman should have stayed and that poor dog that was “angry”..should have stayed with someone else,,and the owner should have gone..
What a shame!!! The show will never be the same without Tillman!! It seems to me that they are purposely leaving a lot of “drama” situations open in the show to keep people interested.
As with all of these reality type shows….It’s all about the judges or so they think. The judges in this case will cause the demise of this show.
I thought Tillman showed exactly what he was supposed to show in his photo. The dog that had the bands on his teeth showed EXACTLY what it was they were looking for. I listened to the rules again and didn’t hear anything about not using bands etc. Besides that is what they use in the movies to make an angry looking dog. The adorable little white dog, didn’t show “love”. Judging the dogs on someone elses artistic viewpoint is just stupid anyway.
I will keep on watching the show because I am into it this season but will have to think twice if the same judges are on it next season.
Kicking off Ron & Tillman is the worst possible mistake the judges could have made. This one decision could ultimately cause the downfall of this show. I, like many others, will not watch the show anymore. Not just because we loved Ron & Tillman, but because there are three owners who yell at and mistreat their dogs during every challege, have been in the bottom three and are still on the show. Sorry to Bella, Beacon and Leroy, but their owners should have been long gone by now.
If there is a next season and they have new judges, maybe we’ll watch the show again.

We can’t believe Ron & Tillman were the ones sent off! Only a chair was used as a prop, not anything that could have harmed the dog like “snarl bands!” How cruel, maybe the owner should have gone home and a new owner given to Leroy! Tillman’s picture was great, he looked lazy to me. The judges were absolutely wrong. The owners that yell and scream and have no patience ought to go.
well it is so nice to see that everyone feels the same as i do, i wont watch it any more because of tillman getting voted off. they call the bands in humane and then keep her on!!!!!, i had more reespect for victoria, but not now
I completely agree with Rachel and the pack. It was a very BAD move to let Tillman go. I am also wondering how Beacon and Brandi have made it this long. They had my elimination vote from the first week!
Sending Tillman and Ron home was just plain wrong.
The owner that used a band “assist” to acheive a snarling dog showed lack of concern for her pet. She would go to any extreme to get her desired result.
How can the judges support her methods while booting Tillman. Ron has repeatedly treated Tillman in the gentlest most loving way. He tried a number of different ways to get a picture not once resourtng to cruel behaviour.

That woman needed to be booted and any other owner who uses abusive methods needs to be booted. Let’s see a show where kindness towards the do prevails
Bring Back Tillman
If you cannot do it this season then do it next season. Ron and Tillman were robbed and so were all of the viewers who saw cruelty prevail over kindness and respect for a dog.
All that needs to be said was said by Tillman as he left. The show now stinks.

What a disgrace! It’s obvious from the previous posts, America totally disagrees with this week’s decision. Victoria Stillwell stated, ” I don’t like the methods you used to get this picture.”, yet they dismissed Ron and Tillman based on laziness? Bizarre. The man loves his dog and cares more about him than winning the prize. I’ve watched the show since week one and I’ve never seen a real bond between Leroy and his owner. While I’m not sure the snarl bands constitute as cruelty, Leroy surely wasn’t O.K. with them as his owner stated to the judges. In fact, during the shoot she told him, “I know you don’t like these…”. So, she lied to the judges as well as inflicted discomfort on her dog all in the name of winning. And, isn’t it interesting that no-one seem to recall Leroy’s owner’s name? Shouldn’t this show be based on a strong dog-human bond, instead of what an owner can force his or her dog to do to win some money? If the show’s producers are looking for ratings, this is a poor way to go about it. Making your viewer angry or uncomfortable by encouraging the poor treatment of a dog, is in my layman’s opinion a very poor decision - SHAME ON YOU!
Everyone said just what I am thinking. As a dog trainer myself, I think some of the owners need a lot of help. The Border Collie bit his stupid owner because thats what dogs do when mistreated. Yea for the dog. He needs a new owner. Some will do anything for money. Tillman let them all know how we feel, LOL, he farted. I’m still laughing. Shame on the judges, who definetly know little about dogs. I hope Tillman and owner get some sort of “were sorry” we made a big mistake. But money talks, won’t watch this junk again. I feel bad for the others tho, who do love their dogs, as you can tell.
I am one more vote. I will not watch a show that rewards dog abuse like they did tonight. That is disgraceful and the network should seriously consider getting animal lovers as judges, unlike those quacks. Ron and Tillman had the most unconditionally loving relationship and they continue to keep abusers on the show. Must be bribing the judges somehow. With this many writeups on the same thing, I think someone should rethink the way the show is run or there won’ t be a show next season. Tillman gave the absolute correct ending to his exit. Those judges have s_ _t for brains!!!!!!
I vote that Ron and Tillman get their own show on Animal Planet. I’d watch it!

I’m so upset about Tillman being gone! We just lost our 1 yr. old Bully a few months ago to an incompetent vet that had been recommended & we thought we could trust. Our baby looked so much like Tillman. It has been so enjoyable to watch Ron & Tillman together. From what I’ve seen on the show Ron is a great dog owner & should have never been voted off. This was not a fair decision in my opinion.

Tillman is a star and Ron is the best best Dad I have ever seen for Dogs or humans! After Elvis bit Tillman Ron didn’t even freak out - he was still fond of the little dog.

The most dynamic, entertaining dogs (and their owners) are the ones getting voted off from the start. I wonder if the show can afford to lose its viewers.
Well if it was americas choice, looks like tillman would have been in the top. It is not a picture that makes a dog, had the judges saw video of the photo shoots they could have seen what the real personalities were like in the dogs and owners.
I would have bitten your arm off if you sprayed water, lemon, and grapefruit juice in my eyes, forget about the snarl bans.

TILLMAN !!!! NO NO NO - we loved you (Ron was cool too!) I am tempted to stop watching. Tillman actually made my wife consider getting a bulldog and she usually just says yuck when she sees one. The Judges made a big mistake - I don’t care if Tillman had a bad photo. My TV took a beating for Tillman leaving! NO NO NO.
I loved the show until tonight. BAD decision, maybe the judges need to go, and replace them with real dog lovers. The girl that put the band on her dog should have went home. I can’t believe their decision!!! What was wrong with Ron and Tillman’s Photo???

Tillman is the reason we watched this show. That dog has an uber PERSONALITY and Ron was a very likable guy. For the judges not to vote that b**** Teresa off after she sprayed an acidic liquid on Leroy”s face and rubberbanded his mouth is a f*****g travestyy. Is PETA watching this show? And Beth Joy and Bella Star??Give me a break. Sorry, with those two I can’t use the PG version. And don’t even get me started on “can we talk about me?” Brandy. Can you say “Tonya Harding?” Hope the sponsors are monitoring these message boards because there seems a lot of us that won’t be watching anymore.
Tonight was an absolute TRAVESTY! I have NO respect for this show anymore; how in the WORLD could they kick off Ron and Tillman? Ron has a GREAT relationship with Tillman, while that horrid woman who sprayed water and used RUBBER BANDS on her dog is one step away from turning that poor thing bad.
Aside from the cruel bands, she sprayed water at the poor thing and got herself (rightfully) bitten for using the blow dryer in his face.

Why i watch this show is beyond me…
i cant say enough how much i love tillman,he is most of the reason why i watch the show.i am very upset an sad the he was voted tonight.I for sure thought that leroy would have been voted off for putting foreign object in a dogs mouth,an he was not liking it at all.to tillman i love you me and my dog(coco) watch you.you’ll be missed.

He had the best expressions and I really don’t want to watch the show anymore. Leroy should have definetly gone home because of the one judge saying it was inhumane and wrong. Stupid judges!! Also I have to agree with Phyllis, but I think it should be the ASPCA AND the Humane Society keeping an eye on the show. I truly feel that Leroy was abused, and how his owner did not get the boot is a huge, stupid mystery.

Tillman and Ron does what comes naturally and the chick that used the snarl band on her poor dog gets to stay? Wrong, wrong, wrong. Normally I would think that such a controversial move was done for ratings but Tillman is a very charismatic pup and I think it was a huge mistake to send him home already. I know my husband has said he will NEVER watch again and I’m not sure I will either.
Tillman for president!! We love the guy. IMO it’s a huge loss for the show ( and a terrible decision on the judges behalf).

What a terrible episode - the judges are terrrible. Shame on the them and producers for promoting the show with primarily images of Tillman. Obviously, everyone who watches the show fell in love with the skateboarding/surfing dog and his laid back owner. Why would anyone still watch this show when clearly have no idea what they are doing.
We watch the show every week and we think Tillman was let go for no reason. The pic was great and showed he was tired and being lazy for sure, for sure. I think the judge in the blue dress needs to get tossed off the show! Also, the one they should have eliminated was the one that used bands on the dogs mouth and teeth. That was forcing the dog to do and not right and letting the dog do things on its own. As they said, all the judges, it was not right and cruel. So if this is the statements from all of them, why, why did they eliminate Tillman????????????? In reading all the mail, I see there are a lot of people upset and we all realize this was wrong of the judges. Tillman needs to come back and have another chance due to the circumstances of the show tonight. NOT FAIR AT ALL. Again, I will say Tillman was looking lazy in the picture and tired and down right not wanting to do anything. To me this is being LAZY for sure!!
Tillman and Ron are far better than the judges who like so many of us don’t kow our ear from a hole in the ground. Due to the judges and the host, CBS has succeeded in making sure that I am no longer a viewer fo their show. Congratulations
Best way to hurt the show is to boycott the sponsors. That’s how you get their attention.
Here’s a hint — a bit of peanut butter in Leroy’s mouth would have made him happy and still made him look like he was snarling. No need for a snarl band. Too bad the owner was so bent on ticking the animal off to get the photo that she couldn’t be more imaginative … and caring. See ya CBS.

Bring Back Tillman
The judges are idiots. Either of the two annoying women who were in the final 3 should have gone, not because they are annoying but because neither picture was very good. Tillman’s picture was perfect. I’ve enjoyed the show so far but I’ll not watch anymore.
I am stunned. Tonight’s episode was a lousy concept from the start and the “judges” put the icing on the cake. Would be curious to know how far the ratings tank after this debacle. I certainly won’t be watching again…. especially after seeing the previews for next week. What were they thinking having the dogs walk a narrow plank?! I certainly don’t want to watch them fall. What idiot(s) came up with these ideas and/or worse, who approved them? The sponsors, who WILL be hearing from me, should be ashamed.
Kudos to Ron for not placing Tillman on his back as one of the stupid judges suggested! I thought it was hillarious when Ron said that Tillman made a noise like the judge makes when she laughs, when placed on his back.
Tillman is a rock star!! He makes me want to go out and adopt a little bulldog, but my dalmation doesn’t play well with others.
I cannot believe what happened to Ron and Tillman tonight! They were the reason I watched the show! I am a bull terrier fan, but I loved Tillman and was appreciating english bulldogs in a new way. He has so much personality and Ron was so cool. They make such a great team! I won’t be watching the show anymore since they are gone. I wish you could bring them back or I hope they get their own show! It was wrong for Leroy’s owner to put bands in his mouth, but it was wrong to ask for the dog to look angry in the first place! That word should not have been chosen to begin with! What an injustice to Tillman and Ron who treated his dog with love and care all the time.
I was shocked with the decision tonight. I am glad to read that so many others agree. I suppose this show has been taped months in advance and it’s too bad. Tillman may not have won the entire contest, but he should be brought back due to viewer demand. I think Tillman should make it to at least the last/top three dogs. How disappointing! Tillman was ROBBED!!!
Leroy’s photo shoot was ridiculolus, but then, I think angry for any dog is a poor image to convey. I am so tired of seeing Beacon on this show and her uncreative, whiney owner.
I cannot believe it was Tillman to go…he could have gone all the way with his awesome personality. He may not be the most talented, but at least he gives a good name to all the other lazy, fat, intact, disobedient Bulldogs that are the norm.
How bizarre that they gave Beacon yet another chance while throwing poor Tillman out on his first major mistake. Tillman can look lazy doing anything!
Galaxy was just awesome…as they were trying to get him to Point and they caught that one perfect picture, I hoped they would choose that oneand nothing else, but the one they chose was even better!

I can’t believe Ron and Tillman got voted off, this is the only reason why I watch the show. The dog with band around it’s mouth should have gotten voted off, mainly because she used a prop to make the dog do something unnatural. Tillman is truly a gifted dog that skate board, surf, skim-board, completely uncharacteristic of a dog to do. The judges got this very wrong! The show can’t go on with them.
Well I am so glad to hear that there are so many Tillman fans! I completely agree with everyone it was a crock that they were voted off. I loved Tillman and he was the main reason we watched the show. The judges I agreed with about it being animal cruelty but why did they not vote her off. She should have been disqualified!! They shouldn’t vote off dogs for just one competion. Tillman could have won overall. He can skateboard for goodness sake! I do love Bill and Star also. If they get voted out i’m going to stop watching the show. Galaxy did do very well with this particular competion I think. He is a very smart dog and does what hes told very well. I disagree completely with the judges decision and I’m glad Tillman farted on the way out! It was the perfect exit, good boy!
i think i kind of see why tillman got voted off. if they would have picked sporty or something else implying action and did a pic of the skateboarding, that it would have been more effective. i didnt agree with the snarl bands either. and i think the one girl should have been voted off since she seems to not really be challenging and making it fun for her dog. she just stresses too much and of course that ruins it for the dog. i mean she did break down crying in the photography session. i mean i understand shes stressed but if shes not making it fun for the dog, then the dog just picks up too much on her stress and naturally wont do as well.
i am mad that i ALMOST missed it. I dont watch much tv so luckily i happened to be home and have the tv on tonight to watch it. i am enjoying the show for the most part. there are some things that i do question. however there is one thing i have to say. Havin gone through some dog training classes, some people do have different ideas about training. naturally so, the hardest part of dog training is learning what you, the owner doing the training, is doing wrong. each dog i have i learn more about what i did wrong and what i need to change for the next dog.
I am soooo MAD that Ron and Tillman!! The stupid judges let them go, bad bad decision on their part. Leroy bite his owner to get her to stop abusing him, what happened to Leroy was abuse big time. I will watch the show for Star only. And this is a show about dogs not a love affair. Ron and Tillman deserve to come back and Leroy needs to go. I have a 6 year old english bulldog, Emmy and is always looks lazy. Tillman had the best picture for sure. The judges are idiots. So lets all vote for Ron and Tillman to come back now. Or we all stop watching the show.
I love Tillman too, and I’m sorry to see him go. Poor Leroy’s owner really does need to go because she is so cruel. I’m not talking about the snarl bands. I’m talking about the water and grapefruit juice mixture she was spraying in his face. That would really hurt if he got that in his eyes. Using that alone should have gotten her booted.
I really don’t even need to add my two cents worth, it’s all been said already. IF this show makes it another season I hope the network gets the message they would have to have new judges. Tillman may not be America’s Greatest Dog, but he definitely got ripped off tonight. And the idea that the judges would tolerate what they themselves called inhumane over a subjective opinion regarding a picture is unbelievable. Not because I like Tillman, but because there is no way to see them but WRONG…………….BOOT THE JUDGES!!!
The wise judge will offer his critical assessment and make his decisions respectfully and courteously. Any moron judge will use his position to presume arrogance and be as disrespectful as he wants. We know the Greatest Dog Contestants can’t all win, but must they put with moron judges.
And did we hear the judges use the word “lazy”? If my dog was an asthmatic and sufferd a spell during a performance, yeah, I think I’d opt for being “lazy”.
I am animal trainer and am SHOCKED that the judges this week condoned inhumane treatment of one of the dogs by allowing it to stay. I can not believe that.
I guess they wanted to create drama.
We all need to write to the producers. I’m not sure if I’m going to watch this show anymore. What a bummer.
Me and all 6 of my dogs sat on the couch every week for this show, but now I’m disgusted with it.

Amen, I see all agree with me and my husband, Tillman should of stayed and snarl bands go! I couldn’t believe after the inhumane remark that they stll let Tilman go! I was so stunned then mad! They condoned abuse!!! I really thought they wouldn”t do that! Granted Tilman should of got of a good pic for lazy but……come on, bad pic better then one that was abusive! I’m so disapointed in the judges letting the abuser continue on.
I can’t believe they would give the word angry to any of the contestants. How are you supposed to make your dog look angry? I wouldn’t be able to get mine to do it!
I see many trainers posting comments about the snarl bands being inhumane and am just wondering what alternative they would suggest to make their dog angry.
The judges are the weakest part of the show. They come off very snooty. And they certainly made the wrong decision this week. Tillman was robbed!!! Beacon should have been booted off a long time ago. I wonder if the producers have a hand in who stays… I guess Brandy’s strange comments to Travis make for good “Big Brother” type of reality show.

The concept of a greatest American dog show is a good idea, but this show bases too much on the owners and the judges.
The whole picture idea was more about how creative the owners could be, not the talents of the dogs. Also, I definitely agree with everyone else here- the judges made a very bad call and came out in support of animal cruelty. Any sort of cruelty should be an automatic dismissal. Someone needs to start selling Bring Back Tillman shirts.

Well after reading the comments I see that I am not the only one who is greatly disapointed that Tillman left the show! He is what made the show and was so funny!!! I think that the judges made the wrong DECISION!!! Like the others I think the one that used the bands on her dog should have left! That was really cruel!!! Should have sent her home and kept the dog. It is plain that she doesn’t care about her dog she was more interested in FAME and FORTUNE!! Elvis is also going to be Greatly Missed! I don’t think that the judges really know as to what they are looking for! Last night is my last time to watch the show. It isn’t being judge correctly anyway!
I’m rereading through these comments again this morning. I’m still very mad and aggravated that the producers of the show would even choose the word “angry” as one of the choices for the photo shoot. What if one of the more pleasant dog/owner teams had gotten that word?? How would Travis and Presley have reacted to getting “angry”? What about Laurie and Andrew?? Could you imagine Star and her sweet owner trying to portray “angry”???
I think people seem to missing the point of the horror of even including the word “angry” as one of the choices of words since it happened to be Theresa who pulled that word. She’s not a “favorite” on the show.
If I were on that show, and I pulled the word “angry” from the hat, I would have withdrawn myself from that particular contest. I would have politely said “I can not and will not do anything to my dog to provoke her to anger. I am sitting this one out. If it gets me kicked off the show, then so be it.” And, if I got eliminated, it would have been with my head held high!!
Basically, that whole contest was stupid anyway. It’s difficult to judge someone’s artistic interpretation. It’s very subjective. Three people could look at the same photo and have three totally different reactions (as we saw on the show). And, in addition, it’s the dog owners who get “punished” (ex: Ron) and criticized “the worst bull dog photo I’ve ever seen….” one of the mean judges said), but what about the photographer? She’s partly responsible too. She’s supposed to be a “professional dog photographer” !!!! Shouldn’t she know better??
I very disagree with the judges…That was a VERY bad decision…In most of our opinions we think the lady that used those snarl bands with Leroy should have gotten off the show and no wonder why Leroy bit his owner. I loved Tillman’s picture and i have no clue what those judges were thinking! I am very upset and they are not good judges at all, common sense…If they are going to be like that then no one is going to even watch the show because i don’t think that i fair. Putting snarl bands are cruel…It like putting a tight band on your mouth and around your nose…
And i also agree with Alice…Why and the world would they make one that says “angry”…What else was she supposed to do? Not good, not good. I am very dissapointed.
I agree with all those people who are upset about Ron and Tillman being eliminated. No offense to Ron, but he picked the wrong photo to use. It’s not fair to eliminate Tillman because he couldn’t pick the photo. My 84-year-old mother and I watched this show from the beginning, but I do not think we will continue to watch after they let Tillman go. He was the best of all of them. And how about his talent? Show me any other dog, any breed, who can surf and skateboard. I’m done with this show. You lost more than a few viewers with this outlandish mistake.
I just started reading all of the other comments. I hope the show can see that so many people are against Tillman being eliminated. How about that broad who put bands on her dog’s snout to make him snarl? She should be gone. I agreed with Elvis being eliminated because he bit Tillman, but getting rid of Tillman was a very bad mistake. Get better judges! They don’t know what they’re talking about. I won’t watch again. I just don’t care who wins now - it should have been Tillman.

Me again. I think that Tillman should get his own series on TV. There’s so much other crap on, everyone would love seeing him and his human on their own show. Or add him to the list of characters on another show that’s already on; the ratings would go through the roof.
As far as we are concerned, the dog show is all over.
The producers and judges eliminated not only the greatest American dog, but the greatest dog alive in the world at this time, preventing viewers from enjoying the once in a lifetime spectacle of a happy-go-lucky bulldog with the heart and mindset of a greyhound, doing what he does better than any other dog alive: skateboarding and surfing just for the joy of it.
If that doesn’t qualify as AMAZING, you just don’t know dogs.
(We have had a happy well adjusted housedog under foot, one after another, for more than 35 years.)
I am just furious, and I will not watch another episode of this show. In my eyes the judges are showing the public that winning the contest for money by whatever means necessary is more important than your dog’s health and safety. I have a feeling the ratings are going to tank and the show will not even make it to the end of it’s season. Where did these judges come from? The producers shuld ahve tried to get Ceasar Milan or someone with some common sense!
Get rid of the frigging judges. They think they’re all that, but the women look like cocky b*****s.

I wish Leroy’s owner would know better. BC’s are highly intelligent and do better with R+ training alone. The owner yells and criticizes her poor dog so much and rarely offers true praise.
Any yelling or punishment itself is NOT going to help with this very high drive breed. I believe the photo they got conveys “vicious” more than anger. Anger itself is NOT something any dog owner should try to get out of their dog. Heck, my dog seems “angry” when I tell her it is time to go to bed and she would rather stay outside playing late at night. She will start barking at me and doing little play bows to get me to chase her. I think the whole “angry” choice was a very poor one on the producers part.
Plus, using the snarl band was just a handicap. The owner should have had to get her dog to convey the emotion, any emotion, without a “tool”.
I think capturing the dog in mid-bark would have been enough.
i have to applaud the previous writer who stated that if she had been given the word “angry” she would have politely declined to participate in that event. that is really not something i care to encounter in a pet. the woman who put those bands on her dog needed to go, and then we could all still be enjoying tillman. what a travesty. be mean to your dog and win money…sick…
Well I missed the show because they moved it on Oreo’s (Border Collie) agility class night. so I don’t think I will miss it anyway. they make the dogs look so dumb and I don’t think they are. like the BC. I am cheering for the border collie. So I will reading Dogster to see what happends next. Good Luck
OMG…I just saw the photo that Tillman got put down on. I am sorry .I Loved that photo. I can’t beleave the Judges and the other contestants l thought it was so funny in a bad way. I didn’t get to see the show but I am going to watch pieces of it on here. The photo of Tillman of all him. they don’t know to much about the breed do they.I am so glad I am not on that show ,because I would have to walk off after I tell them off.

All the choices should have been something more in tune to what a real dog can convey! Loving, friendly, happy, lazy, curious, sorry, etc… Not something we wouldn’t want a dog to be. ANGRY!”
Tillman shouldnt of gotten kicked off! He was the funniest and cutest part of the show. Now the show has no charcter. Tillman was the best dog there cause he was so cute and he can skateboard! Who would ever kick Tillman off the show! BRING BACK TILLMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
