I know I can’t wait!

I’m watching Greatest American Dog right now with my mommy…….
OMGosh!! i don’t know if i can watch this or not!! i felt so sorry for Ezzie because of her owner, she got booted. i hate that!!
i think i will feel sorry for all the dogs who get booted, regardless of their owners ineptitude!!
Whooo, what talent…I want a room like that and can’t wait to see my new friends next week! Good luck!
Even though all of the dogs on the Greatest American Dog were cute, I didn’t find one that showed alot of talent..I’m sure that further along into the show that will come out…Alittle boring I thought, will see what comes next week…
Until then………meow
We watched the show, but will not again because they expelled our fellow Boston first! Us Bostons are Soooo smart! Stupid judges.
What a bad way to start off–kicking off the wrong dog. Brandy and Beacon clearly should have been eliminated. She forced the dog into his tricks, and the judges called her on it. Voting her off could have sent a message. Boo first episode!
I just watched “the greatest american dog”………Is the dumbest show i have ever watched. You could of done a lot with it ,but fashioned it after a stupid Modeling show. Please, there are alot of great dog enthusiest out there with fantastic dogs. This show is a mockery!!!!!!
Dogfan
I agree on not watching the show again. Greatest American dog? They booted the only real American dog and she and her owner were not the worst. Judges had a problem of their own with the owner.
I think Tillman should get his Delta Certification, he would be an incredible pet therapy dog.
I was enjoying the show until the end. I cannot believe you kept that dumb blonde that had to push her dog around and booted the guy that simply got overexcited!! His dog almost won the first challenge! The blonde’s dog even bombed that. I doubt I will continue to watch a show where the human’s looks trump the dog’s talent.
Yawn….what a terrible show. I thought we’d be treated to very talented dogs, not a bunch of egomaniacal owners. Where’s the channel changer???
I was very disappointed in who got eliminated. I totally agree with Cheryl’s comments!
How were these pups picked? For that much prize money, I think they could have picked pups with ALOT more talent!
I agree, the wrong dog went home. But I just love the show, because I just love the dogs. Even if their owners are plain out stupid.
I can’t wait for the next episode. It’s way too early to write it off yet. I’m sure that the competition will get more challenging as the shows goes on. But I agree that Brandy & Beacon should have been the ones to go first. I’m rooting for Presley the boxer!
I like that the contestants were for the most part average Americans rather than a group of Cesar Millan’s.
However, I was extremely disappointed with the judge’s first decision. Michael was the group leader and led his team in the best performance - Disco Dogs. It is natural for a young dog to be distracted or nervous about her first performance.
Judges definitely expelled the wrong dog. Brandy and Beth Joy force their dogs to wear matching clothes, push and shove them around, and show no respect at all for their pets.
Michael, I hope you check this website and know that many of us were rooting for you and Ezzie, and we feel the judges were way off mark.
I was so excited about this show and now I feel cheated. Except for the fact that I like a lot of the other teams, I would not watch again based on tonight’s ridiculous outcome.
I loved Ezzie! Beacon should have gone home first. She did nothing but look around. I have 2 Bostons that are smart. They are not stupid dogs. Beacon’s owner was dim-witted and Beacon did nothing but look confused. I don’t doubt that she’s a great dog and her owner loves her, but she showed no talent.
I agree that Beacon should have gone home tonight the dog obviously didn’t have any real talent and doesn’t look like he has much potential either. I think it would be great if we could vote kind of like american idol has it set up. The skateboarding bulldog was pretty neat but I’m wondering what else he can do, he can’t do that every show right. I think the show will get better as time narrows down. I’m not rooting for anyone in particular yet although the older man and his Brittany really touched my heart you could tell he really loves his dog for all the right reasons.
Well I really did enjoy the show. I will most likely tune into the next episode, and plus I just love dogs!
Though I must admit, I was disappointed with the judges final decision on who got eliminated. I really think the blonde girl… Brandy was her name? The one who forced her dog to sit, should have been eliminated! I thought it was so sad that Michael, and his dog had to go. It almost made me cry when he started crying, and then when the judges said to take one last walk around. Regardless, I think I will still check out the next episode.
I have a Maltese named Leeno Lada. They are great loving pets, comical and very aristocratic. I can’t help but favor Laurie and Andrew. When I first saw Andrew prance onto the show, I was so filled with happiness and humored. Laurie is a very confident master and I immediately liked her. I can’t help but feel prejudiced for them, even though all the dogs and owners have their own personalities. What a wonderful team! Go girl! And go all the way Andrew! So fun and delightful to watch. I hope they take it all. I’m rooting for them!
Go Galaxy &JD! That’s who I’m routing for,b/c I have the same mixed breed - and boy are they smart and overall the coolest dog on the show.
Galaxy, you make it all look easy, and the judges were right, you are training JD (smile).
Now we’ll have to work on training for the stand on the back trick - awesome.
Can’t wait until next week!
Jacqui & ChanMan
“Woof & high five!”
A couple of the owners were cool, but they need to focus on the dog, not the people. Star was the best. Will watch one more time, but times running out on this one.
Ron and his skateboarding dog “Tillman” are cool. Sorry, but something about Michael and Ezzie that I didn’t like. No tears shed here.
I really felt sorry for Ezzie when she and her owner got eliminated cuz I dont think it was her fault at all. The judges nailed it right on when they said she looked nervous and overwhelmed, sad to say her owner was a bit overly excited and even said numerous times that he,s very competitive which really reflected in how he interacted with Ezzie in a stressful situation, he was,nt himself and she did,nt know how to respond! I admire the bond he has with Ezzie, you can tell they work good with each other but not in a thrown together circus act so to speak where both the owners and the dogs were expected to perform at a fast pace and without much time to organize and practice. There were several other owners and thier dods struggling also and some more so then poor Ezzie, at least her owner was,nt forcing her!!! All in all I loved seeing all the dogs which all had potential talent along with being very smart! But as for the show itself, let,s just say the jury is still out on that one!
REALLY???? Did the judges notice that Beacon didn’t do anything? Ezzie may have been nervous but at least she did stuff. I vote the judges out. GO PRESLEY & STAR!!!
ezzie shouldn’t have gotten kicked out !
brandy & beacon should have.
but i think presly the boxer is the best!!!!!!
How in the world did Beacon and his owner NOT get eliminated tonight? I felt so bad for Michael and Ezzie…they definitely should not have been eliminated. Beacon did absolutely nothing! and his owner was no better…
I thought the show was precious.. If you are a dog lover you should enjoy all of them for the funny little things they do or try to do…the facial expressions on the dog and the owner were great…Some people have nothing to do but find fault.. The show was wonderful…Ezzie was a sweet little dog and Michael should be proud of him. Who cares whether you watch the show or not…You have a negative attitude and we do not want to hear any more of your complaints.. My friends and I LOVED the show….
I was disappointed in this first show. I expected to be WOW by these dogs and so far I found them to be just average. I’m hoping the next show will be better
Go Star!
I enjoyed watching the different breeds of dogs. They were all so beautiful and loving. Of course, Presly the boxer, is my favorite, since I have a very smart boxer named Rufus.
I look forward to watching the show and learning more about the dogs.
I am loving the show, I’m sure it will get more exciting as it progresses. Although I am going to be sure not to log on here before the end of the show, so I will not already know who gets
eliminated!
Before the show the show was aired, I was watching the news.Tillman got out of his yard and had been missing for day. does anyone know if he has been found.
I’m glad that Esmeralda & Michael are gone. Ezzy was hassling Tilmon and clearly, Tilmon is an internet star and the real star of this show. I bought my iPhone because of Tilmon. He’s a skate-boarding phenomenon!!!
i love travis and his boxer!!
I’m watching for Victoria Stillwell, I love it’s me or the dog.
I thought the show would be a bit more serious. Kind of like the shows the pet channel offers. The costumes and dancing didn’t do much for me…
But I will give it another shot. I LOVE Victoria Stillwell too!
Forget the dogs - The house is incredible.
I want to live there.
This is funny as all get out! Travis and Presley are my favorite!
Give me Pet Stars with Mario Lopez anyday. Nonjudgemental, pure clean fun, pets of all types allowed time to perform or fail to perform and “judges” that aren’t catty or too full of themselves. Saw one yesterday where the three finalists were a large pink hog, a bunny and a rat terrier!
My Boston, Babe, was heartbroken to see Ezzie pulled out of the race so early. We were looking forward to seeing her again. She performed brilliantly at the first trial. Didn’t the judges watch that? The whole idea of having the contestants put on a show was absurd. The judges were judging the owners not the dogs. I insist you bring her back and give her another chance!
Amen to that!!
Ditto! Bring back the ghost of Izzie in the finale!
I can’t remember the owner, of the dog, Beacon. She should be the next one voted off. I don’t like someone, who thinks , she is better than the next person and who is afraid , of people liking and touching her dog. There must be something wrong with her. DOGS do sense , if a stranger is not what they seem.
Sincerely,
Redangels
There was potential for a really good show but it was a horendous cow flop. And the flop came from the judges, IS the judges. If this show had an ounce of dignity, it would come back with a re-do-re-start and not let 3 anal judges decide. Obviously from what you can read here, almost everyone thought Beacon should go and Ezzie should stay. There should have been a popular audience vote. Too bad a really good oportunity for a good show was trashed by the judges. I refuse to watch it….I won’t support a show that can’t be called fair or might put $ in thoses judges hands. I too will contact the advertisers…let them know what I think and hopefully they will pull their support/money. Come on judges…admit you blew it and fix it! I personally liked Michael, he was colorful and entertaining, and Ezzie was obviousy well trained and everyone on the blog loved her. Michael’s comment about having to lead and it distracting Ezzie were right. The judges are so biased that they are blind. They knew exactly what they were doing. They voted Michael off…not Ezzie. Disgusting show, disgusting judges, disgusting outcome. I will have nothing to do with Dog Fancy, etc……..whatever has a connection to the judges. In the big scheme of things this is a little bump in the road or should be but I am so pissed off at the prejudice and bias, the lack of dignity of the judges that I am acting like a mad woman….well I’M MAD AS HELL AT THE JUDGES AND THE FARCE THIS BECAME.
I ‘m bitter. Disappointed. You’re right…the show is a farce. The judges should be tarred and feathered. Bring Ezzie back and start fresh with a popular call in vote. Don’t let it depend on the mood, childishness of the ill- equiped judges. How can they comment that one contestant had to use her hand to get that dog of her to do anything, and then vote to let her and that dog stay. Greatest American Dog????????? HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY THAT?????? Ezzie was second on the first competition. They judged on one part , one part where the owner was put into a position where it confused his dog…who had showed extreme talent earlier. Rubbish…the show is rubbish!!!!!!!!
GREATEST AMERICAN DOG….shouldn’t that dog do something??????? Are the judges “man” enough to admit error?????????????? Beacon stays, Ezzie goes??? The judges shouldn’t let their personal “preference” interfere with their judgement. They did a good job of killing the show right from the start. I won’t watch it. It’s not the Greatest American Dog….It’s the Greatest American Bias
The Greatest American DOG had an elimation based on what their HUMAN counterparts had to write. Is that LOW BUDGET? Is the the Greatest American DOG the one whose owner has to have his tail between is legs and cower??????? You put the owner of Ezzie in a position that worked against him and his dog and then voted against that. What if Beacon’s mama had to be the ringleader??????? Is the show sponsored by the judges???? I give it The Greatest American Turd trophy for what it is.
I hate how one of the judges is the Dog World/Dog Fancy editor. Of course, just another AKC representative, someone who could care less about dog adoptions, rescue, spaying/neutering, positive reinforcement training methods, etcetera.
OK, so far it’s a Big Brother knock-off with dogs. The judges goofed (am very surprized @ Victoria Stillwell for that). Anyone who forces their dog should have been shown the door. Kudos for the folks who helped out the guy in the little doghouse! Hope they show more dog skills, with not so much emphasis on the owners. Some of them are nuts…..dogs are dogs, not little Barbie dolls!
I,m all for Presley the Boxer and his owner Travis! Boxers are very sociable and exciteable around other dogs and humans, they think everything and everyone is here for thier pleasure!! I,ve raised several boxers and for Presley being as young as he is in that enviroment and still able to give his full attention to his owner was amazing. Even one of the judges commended Travis of how few of treats it took for Presley to follow thru on commands!!! Yay, BOXERS, GO Presley!!!!
I think that “final lap” where the eliminated team is forced to parade past everyone while they are so upset is kind of mean. I felt really bad for them! Plus, I do think that they sent the wrong dog home, it should have been Beacon, as cute as she is, I thought she didn’t make the grade.
