TV Casting Calls for Dogs
Did you know that animal actors have their own agency? Check out the cuteness at the Hollywood Animals site. Need to hire a photogenic Great Dane, scorpion or toad? Now you know where to go!
Here are two pawsome opportunities to see your own pooch on the telly.
1. Looking For Rescued Dogs and Loving Families To Adopt Them in the New York Tri-State Area
Our team of four canine experts (a rescuer, trainer, groomer, and doggie decorator) will work with the dog on behavioral, health, and grooming issues, while also pampering it like never before (certified doggie masseuses, shopping sprees, huge gourmet meals. A section of your house and yard will be “pimped” out for your special pooch, with items like a luxury overstuffed dog bed, or a wading pool).
We are looking for charismatic families who have a unique, sentimental, or powerful reason to want to bring a dog into their lives. But above all else we are looking for families who have a lot of love to give, and are truly serious about giving a shelter or rescued dog a forever home. Interested parties should currently not own a dog (or have a compelling reason why their current dog needs a companion). We are also looking for families whose homes have a nice outdoor area for the dog to play.
We are looking for dogs who have the potential to show a major makeover in a short time, as a result we are not considering major aggression cases, and also are concentrating on medium and long-haired dogs (i.e. dogs who could use a grooming). It is going to be a heart-warming show, a real Little Orphan Annie story.
If you think you are the perfect family for this production, email a brief description of why your family should be chosen along with a family photo and contact information to mike@sharpentertainment.com.
For Rescue Dog Stories also email to the above address a short description of the dog’s back story along with a picture.
2. The producers of international parenting phenomenon Supernanny and cable hit The Real Housewives of NYC are searching for owners of misbehaved dogs for a brand-new series, straight from the United Kingdom.
If you’re the owner of one (or more) out-of-control dogs, or you have a pooch that’s an obedience school drop-out, we want you!

I think the first judge should be kicked off and replaced. She must have the hots for the guy with the boxer-because the boxer should have been the one kicked off and not return on the next program. BUT-I am also mad at the other 2 judges for allowing her to get her way. Come on lets be fair about who gets the AX. JUDGE NUMBER ONE THE BOXER DID NOT STAY IN PLACE AND THAT WAS THE TASK FOR THE DAY. It’s only fair to bring the gal and her dog BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with JoAnn… the boxer didn’t do the task of the day and should have been gone!!!! Don’t get me wrong…he is awesome…however didn’t do the job. The two women judges should both have been fired for having the argument they had in public. Shame on them, they too should be gone. I think if you are going to interview for dogs they should be somewhat of the same age….not fair competition….a 9 year old against a pup….
