Buda Lions Club Country Fair & Weiner Dog Race April 26th and 27th, See Last Year’s Celebration in Lord of the Wiens DVD
If you’re anywhere near Buda, Texas this weekend here’s something fun! Its time again for the annual Wiener Dog Races and like every other sport in Texas, these folks take it very seriously. Okay, seriously with tongue firmly planted in cheek.
And for those of us who can’t make it to Buda this weekend, check out last year’s events with a funny, yet touching DVD titled Lord of the Wiens: A Dachumentary.

I’ll be going on Sunday. I went last year and it was so much fun to watch the dogs race.
By the way KOZMO won the races. He was a first timer out of Deer Park. From the time he was a little pup i joked with his owner when he would play with the other four weiner dogs owned by me and my friends. Kozmo was the fastest. Built for speed we joked. But now its true. He beat out over 600 weiner dogs with the help from his buddy brutus in the first few races to show him the ropes.
