I think its certain people that shouldn’t have any type of Bully Dog , because they are not capable of treating them with the same love and respect as would be with any other dog . I have a pit and a Shit-zu and the pit is very loveing towards anybody she meets . She is very well mannered and was not professionaly trained. We treat her just as we do our Shit- zu and they get along great. The pit is very gentle and plays gently with the shit-zu. So I do not think most pits are agressive , unless trained with that agression.

Good article. Congratulations to those dogs who have graduated and got “Good Citizenship” honors from AKC.

Well every dog can be assistant to human beings if trained well. But I personally prefer Labradors most of all. I love their sweet personalities.

I’m so glad to see they are making an effort to change people’s views of the ABPT. They are really sweet dogs and with the right training, hopefully BSL supporters willrecognize that.

This was a good article for the most part, but I was mortified to hear the “anti-dog fighting advocated” say “Most people should not own pit bulls, particularly without training. The breed has a naturally high level of aggression, which owners sometimes exploit for the purposes of dogfighting.” That comment kind of blows the whole point of this training out of the water. None of the Pit Bulls I’ve met so far (even abused ones) have “naturally high” levels of aggression towards people or even other dogs.
