Remembering the Initial Pet Food Recall March 16, 2008

Web radio station Womanradio.org will present special programming for the first anniversary of the initial pet food recall of 2007. It will begin at 2 p.m. EDT with Make a Change a song for the friends lost by noted composers Karen Phillips and Yohanna Vanderkley of Webbils and Song.

The programming will feature people whose lives have been deeply affected by the pet food crisis and those working to make changes.

The now legendary Don Earl will tell the story of the killing of his cat Chuckles and his determined quest for justice over the past year.

Lawyer Ted Charney of Toronto Canada will outline class action lawsuits versus Menu Foods.

Ron Smith creator of PETitionz.org will comment on the reactions of site visitors from 143 countries to events as they unfolded following that first recall.

Karen Fraser and Personal Chef Tabitha Chapman will chat about the March 18th launch of their new Trust Pet Cuisine. The meals are cooked by an International Chef in a kitchen using all fresh human ingredients and then conveniently delivered to your home or office. Trust makes the food pet owners would cook for their pets if they had the time and knowledge.

It is nice to see someone in the media remember all of our furbabies that were effected by this devastating tragedy. I had two dogs who were poisoned and one passed away this past 2/14/08. He had had issues since the time he was poisoned and never fully recovered. My other dog has had more blood tests in the last year that most dogs in their lifetime(not to mention the 2 weeks in the hospital and the teeth she had to have pulled because of infection in her mouth from ulsers from the food) and the fact that almost every media outlet still keeps the number of pet deaths from this at so few. PEOPLE LISTEN UP>>>>>> ANIMALS ARE STILL DYING FROM THIS…If your animal was not effected consider yourself lucky. I have over $20000 in vet bills because someone decided to save money in making a dog food that was supposed to be a holistic alternative to the crap in the grocery store. Read what is in your pet food and remember this could happen again. Laws need to be put into place to hold those who did this accountable and make sure that what we are feeding our pets is safe enough for you or I to eat. Help get the word out and BOYCOTT ALL COMPANIES associated with MENU FOODS. Let our voices be heard.

Just felt the need to be heard.
