Update on Edna Murder, Rodriguez Sentenced on 4 Misdemeanors and Convicted of Car Theft
Here are the most recent updates from Bill Whiting on the Edna murder case.
Victor Rodriguez was just convicted on four misdemeanors.
DA, Heidi Grogan appeared in front of Philadelphia juvenile court Judge Docherty. A wise decision on Ms Grogan’s part led to not to pursuing the felonies, as she had a card up her sleeve. Seems, young Rodriguez also had an outstanding warrant for auto theft. He was tried this morning for car theft, and was an adjudicated juvenile delinquent just moments before entering the Edna hearing. He will be sentenced on March 31st. He remains in custody.
And here is some additional information also from Bill Whiting, Edna’s furdad.
Victor Rodriguez was convicted on four misdemeanors this afternoon in the ‘Edna animal cruelty case’. More technical legal information can be obtained from the DA’s office if you call Cathie Abookire. The suprise, although it shouldn’t be one, is that Rodriquez was convicted earlier that same day for car theft. He will be sentenced on March 31st.
Judge Docherty presided, and Heidi Grogan did a brilliant job for the District Attorney’s office.

Congratulations on obtaining a verdict. There is never real justice but it’s a big step in the right direction.
Please keep us posted as the rest of the events unfold.
What happened to Edna? We know he knows…
Can’t the Judge request this information? As the owner, I could not get closure, until I knew.
It is so heartbreaking. VR, a budding sociopath…
So happy to hear that at least a conviction was reached, however, I too am still worried about Edna - I would hope that this information could be gotten from this youth now that he is in custody. I think there are lots of people around the country like myself who are following this story. Please keep us updated with an news.
