Sargeant Boe Helps Soldiers in Iraq
Maybe some of these soldiers will remember how Boe helped them in Iraq and adopt dogs when they come home.
I noticed the CNN report mentioned that soldiers in Iraq are being drawn to the local dogs. How about letting some of these dogs live on base? That would help them AND the soldiers.

It’s nice to see the soldiers smile. It just shows what we on Dogster already know- dogs provide many services to us. Not the least of which is unconditional love.
That is wonderful…. now they really need to talk about the book From Baghdad, With Love: A Marine, the War, and a Dog Named Lava by Jay Kopelman (Author), Melinda Roth (Author). That book will give you an insight as to how the military deals with non-military dogs… very sad. More poeple should be made aware of it so they can express their displeasure with the government. Maybe with pressure, they will stop these horrible practices and let the military personel keep the dogs.

I agree, we have adopted puppies over here. They were sick looking. Bones and fleas. We helped get them cleaned up. Everyone thinks they are pests and nothing good. You are right they are companions, and loyal friends. They are smart and can be trained. We are trying to get a charity help bring Torque, izzy and Jasmine home. I pray it works. They are too precious. I am a great animal lover. These puppies and dogs give us strength and support to carry on over here.I also believe it would lower the divorce rate and homesickness. It’s all a good cause. They do not need to be shot, euthinized, or tormented. Nonetheless brought back into the wild where they can be ripped to shredds. I think they deserve better. Besides Dogs are a man’s best friend. Along with God if you believe that. Thanks for listening, Sgt Asebedo
