Mr. Obama likes to model himself on Lincoln. He says he wants to get a "big rambunctious" dog. But Lincoln loved all animals. He even kept goats in the White House. He also was especially kind to animals--all different kinds of animals. There are many stories about animals he saved--a pig, a nest of birds, and a dog. In those days, his kindness was unusual.
