Pit Bulls Strut Their Talents at Tennessee Show
Joy

Yay for these great dogs and their humans!

Thanks to Juliana for barking in this article from WKRN.com.

“Pit Bull Lovers Hold Talent Show”

Dozens of pit bulls, some rescued from all across the country, showed their talents Saturday at a dog show in Milton.

Volunteer Sharon Sweigart said the event is full of competition.

She said, “They use their skills that they are made for, they are part of going what they are supposed to do.”

The weight pull is one of dozens of contest the dogs participated in.

One dog in the talent show pulled over 1,025 pounds.

There was also a junior handler contest and the treadmill competition.

It’s good to see that these shows are getting some media attention.. finally!

I was doing the show circuit for years & no one ever wanted the media there in case a dog got loose or something & started a problem.

    Great press & great report!

  2. Poana

I would of loved to have been there! So good to see positive writings on pit bulls, I hope more to follow soon, people need to open their eyes and opinions on a misunderstood breed!

  4. Jennifer Reeves

My husband and I just rescued a Pit Bull named Sara about 3 months ago, and I have been doing alot of research on Pit’s. I want to be very involved in helping give these wonderful dog’s their good reputation back. How would you go about doing something like that in the area I live in?
