    That is an amazing story. I have a two year old dog (Lily)that is deaf and nearly blind. She will be blind probably fairly soon. Unfortunately, I don’t believe she’s made any allies of the kitties in her sighted days; she likes to chase them and eat their food. But it is truly wonderful for this family to have such a unique friendship between the two species. :)

    Maybe it comes from Reader’s Digest? Looking for more info, I googled “Cashew and Libby”. The RD online article is the first one I clicked. And their online article is the same as the scanned in article, so might be the source.
