HSUS Joins Dogster Luc in Fighting the Dog Meat Trade in the Philippines
Dogsters are leading the fight against dog cruelty around the world. So I want to welcome the Humane Society of the United States as they join Dogster Luc in the struggle they began last year against the dog meat trade in the Philippines.
The HSUS’ Wayne Pacelle announced yesterday on his blog that the international version of the HSUS, the HSI, is starting a campaign against the Philippino tragedy of dog meat. Great! I’m sure Luc and his furmom Rhoda will welcome the assistance.
BTW, although Dogster Luc, his furmom Rhoda and all the wonderful humans who worked with them have gotten a tougher law passed against dog meat in the Philippines, if you want to show solidarity with them you can still sign the Care2 petition they started last year.
Applause applause! We helped Luc start the crusade with the petition and we are thrilled to see that he is still fighting the fight! We think of it often and were so sad to not reach the number of signatures we hoped for. But it’s great to see not only a resurgence but the assistance of the HSUS!!!! You guys rock!
