Dogster Pita Inspiration for PITA Foundation
Dogster Pita is a very special dog! Not only is she a service dog identifying humans about to have heart/angina attacks but she is the mascot and inspiration for the PITA (People in the Arts) Foundation! The PITA Foundation:
endeavors to further and advance the Arts by providing opportunities for starving artists, independent filmmakers, and independent films with important subject matter, in addition to advancing film education, through the receipt of generous public and private contributions, collectively for the betterment of society.
As part of their mission. the foundation includes the Watch Dog Project:
Part of People In The Arts Foundation Mission Statement deals with animal rights issues. This also includes matters of discrimination that individuals have had with businesses not only in Los Angeles but across the United States regarding their Service Animals.
This WATCHDOG page is dedicated to ^BLOWING THE WHISTLE^ on Business Owners who refuse to adhere to the law and continue after warnings to discriminate against the disabled and their right to bring Service Animals into the business.
So here’s a big bark out to Pita, a dog who watches out for humans and inspires humans to watch out for dogs!
