My dog Lily was rescued from a puppy mill, because of an inherited defect she was born deaf. She also has juvenile cataracts and retinal degeneration (both also genetic problems that started a few months after her first birthday) and is going blind. I love my dog and would not trade her for anything in the world, but if it were not for Puppy Mills she and countless others like her would not exist and I wish there were no Puppy Mills or irresponsible backyard breeders. It's a confusing jumble of emotions but it exists. It makes me sick to think of all of the animals suffering in hellish conditions right now, and the many that will be born day after day into the same conditions. Rescues and shelters have millions of homeless would-be best friends waiting, don't give more money to the puppy mills by buying dogs on the internet or in a store.

Please do not buy puppies from petstores. The parents of these pups suffer in their cages and are bred until they die. They live in small cages, often in horrible conditions and without medical care. The dogs are not being protected by laws. It is supply and demand. If we don't buy these puppies the puppy millers won't make a profit. If you were a reputable breeder would you sell your dogs on the internet or in a petstore? Please adopt a dog that is at your animal shelter. We may get put to sleep if you don't help us! I was rescued and I LOVE LIFE!
