Arkansas Dog Skinned Alive, Sign Petition to Prosecute Torture and Murder as Felony
The level of cruelty a human can inflict is so far beyond any other animal that words fail me. If you doubt that, read the following article. Only a human monster would have done what was done to this poor dog, Missy!
We can’t help Missy but we can help bring her murderer to justice and protect other animals from this hell-spawn. Sign the petition calling for the crime to be prosecuted as a felony.

Benton Woman Finds Dog Skinned Alive
“I love animals, loved animals all my life,” says dog owner Dee Green.
In fact, Green has a hard time turning away stray dogs that roam her Benton neighborhood. Over the years, she’s collected more than eight of them.
She says they come here because, “They know that they’ll be loved.”
But Green says it’s possible someone may have retaliated because she has so many.
“It’s just like they skinned a deer. That’s what he said, like she had been skinned like a deer. So you can imagine hanging somewhere up on a tree,” explains Green. “You know I don’t know how they do deer but you know I can imagine her hanging there and they’re just stripping all her skin off of her.”Green had just arrived home from work last week when she heard Missy barking. She found her under the carport with her skin hanging off.
“I will never forget that as long as I live. That’s something that nobody needs to go through. It’s terrible,” she explains.
Green rushed Missy to the Benton Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Howard Foggo. Green says she was praying it was just a dog fight, but reality set in when the doctor said Missy had been skinned alive.
Dr. Foggo says, “It was basically cut from here to here all the way around and you can’t just sit there with a knife without someone restraining the animal.”
Dr. Foggo calls it by far the worst animal cruelty case he has ever seen. He had to euthanize Missy.
“It’s wasn’t the pain that I am going through. It’s the pain that I can feel that she went through that she doesn’t deserve,” says Green.
So for now, she’s is busy keeping an eye on her other beloved pets, so tragedy doesn’t strike again.
“Somebody like that needs to be caught and they need to be prosecuted,” says Green.
The Saline County Sherriff’s Department has no suspects. If you have any information you’re asked to call them at 501-303-5608. Green is offering a $1500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have signed the petition and hope that this sicko is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The pain inflicted on this helpless dog is NOT what should happen in any civilized society, let alone the United States. It is even more appalling that we, as a people, don’t value life and suffering enough to make the crime a felony.
It’s been proven that animal cruelty is linked to adult feloneous crimes. By deterring animal cruelty, you are deterring adult criminal behavior.
I urge you to create stronger penalties for animal cruelty crimes.

There aren’t words for how horrible this is. I hope the person who committed this crime is caught immediately and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Sadly, the laws for this kind of cruelty are weak. It’s maddening when there is proof that this sort of cruelty often graduates to crimes against humans.
I can not imagine the things people do to animals or why – we live in a very sick time and it worries me terribly. it is easier for me to watch a human being hurt than it is an animal, as they are defenseless.
i signed the petition, too. the person/people that did this to a helpless animal are depraved human beings (and i use that term loosely)
Now if this was done to a human, these monsters would go to prison. So what is the difference I ask???? Missy was a living breathing, loving and trusting baby. She was God’s creation. What this precious baby went through is sickening. When will the head honchos sign a bill that puts these monsters behind bard. Not for two weeks. I have heard “They are just animals” and that makes me angry. I have five Dachshunds and they are my kids.They are spoiled. Why not? Missy was a fun loving, happy and protective baby at one time. I got sick to my stomach when I read Missy’s story. She knows who did this horrible thing to her and she is watching. May you monsters never have a peaceful sleep. Stand up, and be a human being and turn yourself in and pay for your crime. Until you do, all I can say to you is SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!
when it has come down to inflicting pain & injury to any creature who has not the capacity to defend itself , it is indeed a sad day for humanity. to this monster, i say, may you burn in hell.
Even the most violent and knowned street gangs doen’t do animal cruelty. Alla Cappon (sorry for spelling) Would kill people but the only witnesses were still animals. See everyone knows animals should live. I couldn’t imagine someone doing that to my dogs.
I hope that whatever monster did this is caught and will be spending a lot of time behind bars. It’s truly sickening to think there are people capable fo this type of disgusting behavior.

I live in NW Arkansas and I didn’t hear of this horrible crime on the news. Everyone turns away from animal cruelty issues. Tyson is headquartered here and I understand they help prevent it from becoming law that animal cruelty be a felony. Because it is not a felony in Arkansas, the full extent of the law is not enough in any animal cruelty case.
By the way, signing an online petetion is honorable in intent; however, most get deleted when forwarded to the appropriate people. We need to call our Representatives and Senators. One phone call is considered 1,000 votes, a letter is considered 500 votes. SO, LET’S PICK UP OUR PHONES AND CALL THEM EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WILL BE MOVONG TO ARKANSAS WITHIN A YEAR. I CURRENTLY HAVE A RESCUE SERVICE IN JASPER COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA. AS I HAVE SEEN MANY CRUELTY CASES FIRST HAND – I CANNOT SAY THIS IS THE WORST I HAVE SEEN BUT IT IS UP THERE. I SPEND A GREAT DEAL OF MY TIME ASSISTING DOGS JUST LIKE THIS IN SC. AT TIMES I HAVE HAD TO USE MY OWN TERMS OF JUSTICE ON PEOPLE WHO ARE CRUEL TO ANIMALS, AS THEY DO NOT GET THE SAME PROTECTION.
This is horrible. Why does this happen in China all the time, though, and it’s legal? It sickens me. That’s unfortunately worse than what Missy experienced, because the dogs aren’t euthanized. Inside I am screaming…how can we stop them!!!! You can google it. China cruelty to dogs and cats. Skinned alive. The pictures are there, and be warned, the videos are there, too. I know not to buy anything from China!! (it’s stupid how much of our stuff is from there).

OK, I got it. This case is from 6/21/07.
I’m on so many lists and get so many emails all asking me to respond, that I do. Never occurred to me to look for the date. Never thought someone would send me an old story.
But, now, I dearly do want to know what happened in this case.
Will call the three phone numbers I’ve now collected tomorrow or when I can.
But if anyone can tell me what happened? That would be nice to find out, too.

DID ANYONE EVER FIND OUT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS CASE? I TOO, JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT IT. IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO THIS LATE ALONG? THOSE POOR PEOPLE, THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD. SCARY TO THINK THEIR COMMUNITY MIGHT BE CULTIVATING A SERIAL KILLER (SINCE ALL OF THEM AS CHILDREN TORTURED ANIMALS, THE MORE HELPLESS THE BETTER). I WANT THE DEATH PENALTY FOR WHOEVER DID THIS. I DON’T CARE IF THEY’RE 12 YEARS OLD. BETTER TO EUTHANIZE A POTENTIAL FUTURE KILLER THAN AN INNOCENT ANIMAL. AND IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY THIS, YOU NEED TO GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT.
