Basically, yes - Dogs were never meant to eat ANY cereal and certainly not rice.

Do you know if there is a list somewhere we can post our Kitty (Chicklet) who passed two weeks ago from the tainted food we purchased at walmart.

Thank you

no, not all rice is bad. Rice protein just has more things (like for ex. dye or unatural objects) put into it. But you should be careful with ANYTHING you feed your pet ,and if you are unsure about something, make sure you check up on it before giving it to your animal.

Does anyone know the difference between rice and rice protein? I checked the SmartPak website and the recalled food does not have "rice protein" listed as an ingredient. This worries me greatly as both my dog and cat foods (Canidae/Felidae) contain whole-grain rice, but don't list rice protein. Thus far my foods have thankfully been safe, and my foods are all of US origin only, but I'm starting to worry... is all rice bad?
