I’m still getting requests for information on law firms handling class actions suits for pet food recalls.

Thanks to Leeann, furmom to Dahlila, Cinco, Lizzie and the rest of the Waukesha pack, for barking this in.

Pet Food Lawsuit

On Tuesday, March 20, 2007 Progressive Law Group (PLG) filed a class action lawsuit against nationwide producers and distributor of contaminated pet food linked to the deaths and severe kidney problems in numerous pets.

I’ve lost my three dogs. I fed them the Alpo that had the recalled serial numbers. I still have one of the empty cans.
they all died the same way. Two died rather quickly (they
were older) The other lasted approximately a week longer,
after spending 5 days in the animal hospital. All I have left is
a huge vet bill. This has left me and my wife very bitter
towards the makersof alpo, and i would never trust
any pet food maker again. John Foltz 870-932-0973

    John,

I am so sorry for yours and your wife’s loss. There is nothing I can say to make it better but I hope you know that many Dogsters and Catsters empathize with you.

    John,
I know how you feel. My dog became ill. He had all the symptoms of the problems with the dog food. I kept checking but alpo still wasn’t on the list. He was older and I thought maybe its just his time. He died and the next day I heard alpo recalled some of their food. He had been eating alpo for years. It is hard enough to have your dog pass away but to feel like you contributed to it is almost unbearable. I loved him so much. He was almost 15 and I had him since he was 10 weeks old. My younger dog didn’t eat very much of the alpo and had some elevated test results, but seems to be doing good now. Thank the Lord. I feel for you and I am so sorry for your loss.

I recently lost my brazilian mastiff to renal failure caused by Alpo “prime cuts” canned dog food. Is their a class action law suit against Purina? Does any one know about this? Ender would have been 5 in September. For over 4 years he was always at my side, and now he is gone. I don’t even want to be in my house any longer. I would like this “entity” that is Purina to feel the pain that so many of us have felt. Mike Bryans 678-699-5344.

Mike, I know exactly how you feel! My 5 year old lab just dies June 7th after eating Our Compliments / President’s Choice beef cutw w gravy. It is so lonely in my house. No beautiful blonde face staanding in the doorway when I pull up, gone is the bouncing on the bed with his chin to announce breakfast. Anyone can come to my door now and I don’t have intimidating barking to make me feel safe. Mostly I miss telling him about my day and watching the loyal interest in his eyes. I hate coming home now too. I don’t feel welcomed, safe, or part of a ‘pack’ anymore. Sooo sad…
