Menu Recalls ALL Wet Food
Joy

Somebody at Menu Foods must have finally realized that they cannot tap dance outof this. Note that Menu is promising to reimburse the costs of vet bills. But also note that the company is still claiming that only a handful of dogs and cats have been affected or killed.

According to the Pet Connection site, which has been allowing pet parents to register deaths and illnesses suspected to be linked to the Menu recall, over 1300 pets have been killed by tainted Menu food.

Menu Foods expands pet food recall to include all wet dog and cat food Canadian Press

TORONTO (CP) – A pet food recall has been expanded to include all varieties of its wet dog and cat food, amid concerns that tainted products are still being sold.

The Mississauga, Ont. based Menu Foods is asking retailers to remove all wet food items as a safety precaution, regardless of the date code.

In a weekend release, Menu Foods said that even brands not on the official recall list should be taken off the shelves.

There is no known risk from items not listed on the recall list, but there is concern that consumers may still be able to buy recalled products.

The safety precaution comes days after it was discovered that some of the pet food products Menu Foods manufactured were tainted with rat poison.

Several dogs and cats fell ill or died of kidney failure across North America.

Menu Foods says it will compensate pet owners for any vet bills caused by the tainted food.

RE: Nutro Max Small Bites – I have been mixing the Nutro small bites with Flint River Ranch for my babies (six yorkies) for months. NOW, they refuse to eat the small bites!! I put down only FFR and they clean the bowls rapidly!! Do they know something I dont? One of my fur babies, Baskin, was diagnosed with Kidney failure on March 9 – a week before the recall was made. He was on an IV for three days and three nights and is home now. His kidney functioning numbers are still wayyyy above normal. I have given the six about every other week a treat of Nutro canned chicken and rice.
