I have been feeding my little Boston Terrier the Nutro Sensetive Stomach formula and she's had blood in her urine twice now after exercising hard at the dog park.. This has only occured the two times in the past 2 months I took her to the park to run and play.. I've now pulled her off the dry food. There are too many reports like this if you search the internet... TONS of dogs are getting sick off Nutro dry!! Google it yourself! It's insane that they aren't admitting anything yet... Maybe it's not bad enough to KILL the dog but clearly there is something at work in the food.. Again, google it and you will see hundreds of other reports like mine here.. The FDA says only 15,000 reports of sick dogs and only 17 deaths but I say that is BS!!! I've seen hundreds of posts about dead and sick dogs, all with kidney failure or unexpected blood in the urine.

I don't believe anything "they" say anymore. One recall after another and that includes treats. The companies are pulling stock because they either do have a problem or think they might or want to get away from anything that might cause them damage in the long run. Me? I use home-made food and have for years - thank doG! There's awful information on some sites. I belong to K9Kitchen at yahhogroups.com where they have excellent information and have both of her books. http://monicasegal.com if it helps anyone.

Farm animals are fed dry foods too. Milk cows are fed dry feeds. Other pet foods are also dry. I feel this an attack on our food supply by China! Nutro will not disclose the source of their wheat gluten. I contacted Greenies, who have confirmed that their wheat gluten was from the USA.

Why does any of this surprise you?

Men will always feed his insatiable greed before all else.
Man's Insatiable Greed will first destroy all components of the Animal Kingdom, save the man.
Then Man's Insatiable Greed will destroy all organic components of the Earth itself, save the man .
Thankfully, to put us out of our miserable existence, Man's Insatiable Greed will then destroy the man himself.

I'm not sure of what's going to happen to myself, let alone my two best friend Goldens, but I do know one thing for sure:
We're doomed. Yeah, you can call me Chicken Little, but the writing's on the wall. Call me what you will.
Maybe not today or tomorrow, but given time, greed will entirely wipe out 'civilization' (I use this term loosely).

The pet food poisoning by the new Empire of China is just another pitiful example of a pitiful and simple species - homo sapiens. We are pathetic...regardless of race, color, creed, or flag.

Just useless.
Sigh.

I am apalled and horrified that our Country would allow this to happen! Poison from China in our beloved pets' food and what about us, our food? I rescue dogs and have 8 of my own. I have been feeding them Nutro Ultra and recommend it to all of my adopters. Now I am not so sure....most likely making my own dog food will be the only way to be sure. But of course we can't use spinich (that was tainted), can't use any type of wheat (that was tainted) - what next? The United States better look into this nonsense of allowing companies to import GARBAGE from other countries to put into OUR food supply....and if they don't - then something smells fishy to me!

The Nutro Max kibble has been making my greyhound sick. I'm gonna stay away from the commercial stuff for now and make some old school chicken and rice.
No wonder that crap was on sale!---Darby
