Dog, Cat and Mouse Make Unlikely but Peaceful Walking Partners
Joy

Mouse, cat and dog.jpg

Don’t ask me if this is true or not. Here’s the photo that goes with the story from the Great Falls Tribune. My only comment is that isn’t it interesting that the mainstream media reports all the viiolence against animals yet very few of us have seen this article of someone working to teach peace?

A story about a dog, a cat and a mouse

Did you hear the one about the dog, the cat and the mouse?

Well, Great Falls Library Director Jim Heckel has a story about these three animals that he swears is true.

And he has photographs to prove it.

Heckel and his wife, Pam, were having coffee outdoors in Brisbee, Ariz., in October, and spotted a fellow with a dog. The man was chatting with friends.

When the fellow turned to walk away, he motioned to a cat, and the cat jumped on the dog’s back.

That was cute.

Then Heckel took another look.

“I saw that riding on the cat was a mouse,” Heckel reported.

Mouse on top, cat in the middle, dog down below.

Heckel wondered how the unlikely trio got together.

The Arizona man, who didn’t give his name, said he spent about 18 months training the animals to tolerate each other and ride together.

“Animals get along,” he said. “Why can’t we?”

That’s a nice sentiment this time of year. Peace on Earth, and good will to everyone.

Must be a common side show!

There is a guy in Atlantic City that has the Dog, Cat, Mouse trio. A friend of ours got a picture of it…..His dog I believe was a GSD

    This is awesome!

We have dogs, cats, guinea pigs, prairie dogs, ferrets – and yes – 2 rats. Everyone gets along and loves each other. Captain Morgan adores the rats, and lays by their cage nose to nose with them. When they come out, he washes their heads.
