Paws of the Rich and Famous
A new photo book focuses on dogs with celebrity owners. Dog Portraits by Kamil SalahThere are plenty of photo books about dogs, and plenty of photo books about celebrities. So of course now there’s a photo book called Celebrity Dogs, new from powerHouse Books ($19.95).
It’s a collection of portraits by the late Kamil Salah, who is described in the book as a “photographer, fashionista, and dog lover.” In an introduction, photographer (and noted dog lover) Bruce Weber says Salah “was someone who flirted with people and animals.”Salah shot Weber’s five golden retrievers, as well as dogs owned by Ross Bleckner, Kate Bosworth, Kelly Klein, Orlando Bloom, Sigourney Weaver, Selma Hayek, and Naomi Watts, to name a few. Interestingly, he never included any of the celebrity owners in the photos, so we thought we would give you a shot at matching up who belongs to whom.
