Little Bit and a Lot of Heart
Joy

Little Bit

We all know there comes a time to say goodby and that time may be here for Little Bit and those who love her. She’s lived a good life with good people and will leave good memories. My thoughts are with you Little Bit.

Thank you Kiko and Josie for letting us all know.

Hey Joy, I’m sad to report that our much-loved Little Bit seems to be coming to the end of her battle with lymphoma. Yesterday she wrote in her diary that her next entry would probably be from her boss man after she had passed to the Rainbow Bridge. Will you please post this in the blog so that everydog who wants to can go to her page to give some love and support to her and her family? She has been such an inspiration to so many, and helped educate us about lymphoma and the options regarding treatment. She has fought long and hard, with the utmost dignity and grace. She is the definition of a class act,and it has been an honor to be her friend. We love you, Little Bit!!

  8. Diane, Angel Impy, Cassie

Dear Little Bit, your angel on your shoulder will be the first to greet you at the Bridge. Angel Impy has done her best to see to it that you would be with your pack and your friends here at dogster for a long, long time, but it seems that even angel intervention has not been successful. We have loved getting to know you, you have been such a sweet dog and full of courage and your pack has been so courageous in their fight to help you.

We want to thank you for bringing smiles in this household again when Angel Impy went to the Bridge and for all the love and kindness shown to our pack.

We are here for your bosses and Lyle when you have gone across that path to the Bridge.

We wlll always remember our sweet little terrier friend Little Bit and will picture you playing happily with Angel Impy.

  9. Kim and Tajah

Little Bit..your spirit will live on forever. We keep Lyle and your family in our prayers over these next couple of days. You put up a fight and informed sooo many people of this horrible disease…you will definately be missed by many!

  10. Furio

Little Bit and her family continue to remain in our thoughts and prayers. They have all been so strong through this cancer ordeal. We’ll miss Little Bit’s funny and sweet p-mails. Little Bit – We’ll see you on the other side.

  11. Honey and Michelle

As much as I love words, I just don’t have the right ones now. I’m at a complete loss for what to say to such a brave little girl as her days come to an end.

You have touched my life in a way that others have never been able to do. I have told you that Honey and I get up every morning and have some quiet prayer time. And we always start with you, and we often end with you too. Just in case. This little practice of talking to the universe is still relatively new to me. I started this in December when I joined Dogster and met you that very first week. Since then, I have prayed to the universe with Honey every morning for you and for countless other furbabies and furless who needed a little extra good thought for the day. I had never done this before meeting you, but it is something that I will do everyday for the rest of my life. And I assure you that Little Bit will always be the first prayer on my list.

I love you LB. May your journey to The Bridge be quick and pain-free. You will soon be the most graceful furangel of them all.

May your brother and your bosses take comfort in each other and all of the wonderful memories they have of you, Dairy Queen, french toast and rawhide. And may all of the people and pups whose lives you have touched keep a little bit of your sweetness in their hearts forever.

  12. Robin

Even though we’ve known this would happen for almost 2 years now it’s still harder than I ever could have imagined. I know that everyone who has ever loved a dog knows exactly what we are going through. Our time with our dogs is just too short–no matter how long we have together.
I believe with all my heart that this past month Little Bit has been living off of prayers and positive vibes. It’s a gift for which we will be forever grateful and forever indebted to our friends and the Dogster community that brought us together. Who could ever have imagined that a little mutt from the SPCA could have helped us to meet so many wonderful dogs and their people?
Thank you, each and every one of you. Little Bit sends her love.
Robin, Mike, Little Bit and Lyle

  13. Francis Rocks and the bipedess

First of all as we all hope and pray and chant for the miracle our dear sweet friend Little Bit deserves I want to bring to all the dogs attention that we all need to step up and do the chanting that Little Bit herself has been doing daily for her pal Rio.

    http://www.dogster.com/pet_page.php?i=226802&j=t
Rio is battling polycystic kidney disease. So our chant is Cysts be gone!!! Cysts be Gone!

Add that to our Die Cancer Die for Little Bit. I’m still hoping praying and chanting for a miracle for Little Bit- they do happen so why not for a very deserving dog?

Little Bit, Lyle and the Bosses you are in our thoughts.

Little Bit is such an inspiration to all of us at Dogster, not just for fighting the good fight, but because she’s a little dog with a heart the size of Texas! I’m sure Lyle and the bosses will want all of LB’s friends to have a treat in her honor–then continue the fight with fond memories and smiles!

    Godspeed little darling,

    Little Bit and Family,

You are in our thoughts and prayers. It seems like it was just yesterday that we met you on Dogster and took up being pals. We have been praying for you since we met you and now we are praying even harder, if that is even possible. You have been such an inspiration to us and have really shown some dignity and grace in how you’ve been living your life. As Little Bit chants for Rio from the Rainbow Bridge I chant from here….
    Cysts be Gone!

  22. Farrah and family

Oh, my poor, sweet Little Bit. I know the pain that you went through, because I have been through it myself. You fought longer then I was able to and for that, I am very proud of you. When my Mom lost me, she kept up with you, praying every night that you would be the one to win the fight.

Mom is crying now, because you couldn’t fight it any longer. I will meet you at the gate to Rainbow Bridge.

    Love,
    Farrah and her family

August 27th was a dark and gloomy day in New England with heavy rains later in the day. In Lexington, KY. a tragic and terrible plane crash occurred with the deaths of many. Also in Lexington, KY. a family who we have grown to love these last years gathered together to say goodby to a brave, beautiful, gentle, courageous and loved pal of so very many on Dogster – my dear pal Little Bit.

We knew her time with us wasn’t long but selfishly we didn’t want to let her go just yet. We wanted time to “prepare for being without her. We wanted to share more wonderful stories. We wanted her to be the inspiration that she has been for so very long to other coming behind her with this dreaded disease. We WANTED HER.

Well, as if the earth knew how much our hearts would be broken, the rains came in New England and sadness came into our hearts when our dear little pal left us for Rainbow Bridge. I wasn’t ready but then I never would have been, would I.

She sent me the most darling Rosette just last week. I sent her one today and hope she sees it soon.

My heart has broken into a million pieces with her loss but I know with time it will begin to heal. I will never forget her and what she brought into my life. I love her so. She brought laughter, friendship, joy, silliness, humor, grace, dignity and so much more. We were able to share laughter much more than tears. We were able to share a friendship that will not end in death. We were able to share the deep resources of hearts together and I thank her for each and every gift she gave me so willingly and so lovingly. I hope she knew how very special she was to me and just how much she taught me.

I wished for a miracle for you dear pal, and maybe I received it all along by having you as a friend. You gave me everything you had to give in friendship and you will remain in my heart for all time.

I wish you Godspeed, pretty gal. I hope your new life is kinder to you in health than it was here. I hope there are fields of sweet potato’s for you for eat and a Bruster’s ice cream and they still give out free Sundaes. I wish you days in the sunshine with special toys to play with. I wish you no more pain and no more doctors. I wish you joy as you filled my days so many times when you were here.

I’ll see you again someday, Sweet Little Bit and love you with all the depths of my heart.

    All my love, Willie
