ASPCA Paints the Town Orange with a Canine Carnival
The ASPCA is hosting a Canine Carnival in Union Square Park to celebrate their 140th anniversary. The Carnival will be hosted by John O’Hurley, who played J. Peterman (maker of the infamous Urban sombrero) on Seinfeld. The celebration will feature live music, cast members from Animal Planet’s program Animal Precinct, doggie henna tatoos, dog style tips and the world’s largest dog biscuit. At sundown, the Empire State Building, the NASDAQ building, the Woolworth Building, The Shops at Columbus Circle and other New York landmarks will illuminate in the ASPCA’s signature orange color to commemorate the 140th anniverary of the first and oldest animal welfare organization in the United States.
