New Dog-Related Book Club Forming in Forums?

If you like reading AND dogs you might want to check out the Dogs, Movies, Books and Entertainment Forum. It looks like Kevin, shown above, and some of the other literary-minded dogsters are organizing a book club.
BTW, bark buddies, if you have a dog-book author you want to see interviewed here on the Dog Blog, let me know. We have a few already booked but I’d love to get your suggestions.

Thanks for the awesome mention Dogster! The book club is currently being organized, and then we will officially create the group and start reading!
My pal Charlotte (ID# 261386) and I are going to co-administrate the group. Hopefully we have it running by the weekend!
Thanks for spreading the word Dogster!
Joy,
It’s a bit of an older book, 6 years maybe, but I’d love to hear from the author Margo Kaufman who wrote “Clara the Early Years : The Story of the Pug Who Ruled My Life”.
(Kevin: I’d also love it to be one of the books for the Dog-Eared Book club!)
Kiara,
I have some bad news. I Googled Margo Kaufman and found “Clara” but according to Northwestern Alumni News the talented writer passed away in March, 2000.
Any other requests? I’ll see what I can do.
I’m sorry to hear that. The book was really good, I would have loved to hear from the author….
Okay I have another one… It’s more of a cartoon than book, but he’s been written about so long and we all grew up with him. I doubt you can get him, but I am a HUGE Odie fan (Garfield’s dog friend). I would love to hear from Jim Davis on Odie… not Garfield. I always hear about the cat, but what about the dog?
Way to go Kevin!
Well, Kiara it seems you’ve chosen a living author so that’s a good start. I’ve put in a request with Davis’ publicist so we’ll see what happens.
Thanks for barking!
