Welcome!!!
Joy

Welcome to the Dogster blog!  This is where our community gets together to gnaw a bone or two, sniff around and in general just spend a little time digging through some good stories.

I’m Joy and I’m going to be your host at this online puppy pile.  I’ve been around dogs for quite a while now and I look forward to sharing the news and good times with you.  We’ll talk about what’s happening in your backyard and the rest of the canine world.

I want to hear from you.  Tell me about your upcoming and recent events, your births, your shows, your fundraisers.  In short, tell me and the rest of your online dog pack here at Dogster what’s happening in your neck of the worldwide dog park.  And don’t forget pictures.  Everybody LOVES pictures!

I’ll start the conversation by telling you a bit about me and my dog pack.  I live with four dogs.  The oldest is Sol, a fine-year-old Weimaraner and daddy to Star, a seven-month-old Weimaraner puppy.  Star’s main occupation is playing with my probably-about-a-year-old Beagle, Beatrice.  While Sol and Nigel were born into the family (we’ve been raising Weimaraners for maybe thirty years), Beatrice found me.  (I’ll tell you that story another time).  The fourth dog is Annie, who I adopted from some lovely women in Western Missouri who were saving dogs out of the local pound. (That’s another good story for later.)  Annie is, to the best of our guess, a Redbone Coonhound-Ridgeback mix.  We used to think she might be Coonhound-Viszla mix but she is just WAY too hard-headed to have any Viszla in her beautiful red head.

So much from this side of the water bowl.  Tell me about your home pack.  Email me at joy@dogster.com.
